A pack of smoking articles having: a container; an inner wrap enclosing a group of smoking articles housed in the container; a hinged lid movable between open and closed positions; a collar glued on the inside of the container so as to partially project out of an open top end and engage a corresponding inner surface of the lid when the lid is in a closed position; a slider firmly connected to the lid and coupled in a sliding manner to the container so as to slide relative to the container; and a locking system interposed between the container and the slider and, in the closed position of the lid, prevents the slider from sliding relative to the container. The hindering of the slider can be deactivated by external action of the user who elastically deforms at least part of the front wall of the container.

A container for consumer articles (20) comprises a box portion (31) comprising a box front wall (32), a box rear wall (36) and two box side walls (38) extending between the box front wall and the box rear wall. The container further comprises an inner frame (10) comprising an inner frame front wall (12) and inner frame side walls (14), wherein the inner frame front wall (12) is arranged parallel and at a predefined distance to the box front wall (32). The container further comprises an additional flap (50) comprising at least two opposing side edges, the first side edge (52) being attached to an upper edge of the box front wall (32), the second side edge (54) contacting the lower edge (12d) of the inner frame front wall.

A pack for smoking articles can include two groups of smoking articles arranged adjacent to each other; an inner containing element surrounding the two groups, having two distinct and separate extraction openings to access the respective groups of smoking articles, and having a front wall, two side walls and/or a rear wall; an outer containing element arranged around the inner containing element, surrounding the two groups, and having a rear wall; and two lids, which are hinged at opposite ends of the rear wall of the outer containing element, rotate between an open and closed position of the corresponding extraction openings, and each having a rear wall hinged to the rear wall of the outer containing element, two side walls, one front wall and one end wall.

A pack for smoking articles can include two groups of smoking articles arranged adjacent to each other; an inner containing element surrounding the two groups, having two distinct and separate extraction openings to access the respective groups of smoking articles, and having a front wall, two side walls and/or a rear wall; an outer containing element arranged around the inner containing element, surrounding the two groups, and having a rear wall; and two lids, which are hinged at opposite ends of the rear wall of the outer containing element, rotate between an open and closed position of the corresponding extraction openings, and each having a rear wall hinged to the rear wall of the outer containing element, two side walls, one front wall and one end wall.

A container for consumer goods includes an outer housing including a box portion closable by a lid portion and having front and back walls and two side walls; and an inner frame within the outer housing including a front panel glued to an inner surface of the front wall and two side panels glued to respective side walls; wherein the inner frame includes at least one horizontal cut across part of the front panel and part of one of the side panels, and at least first, second and third folding lines extending vertically and parallel to each other from the at least one horizontal cut to an upper edge of the inner frame for defining at least one foldable portion; and the horizontal cut being positioned, in un-folded condition of the inner frame at or below an upper edge of the front wall of the box portion.

The container may comprise a box, a lid, at least a first bundle and a second bundle of consumer goods, and an expandable spacer. The expandable spacer comprises at least one spacer weakening line. The at least one spacer weakening line is provided on the spacer bottom wall. The expandable spacer has an initial size that is defined by an initial distance between the first side wall and the second side wall of the expandable spacer for containing a predetermined number of consumer goods. The spacer weakening line is configured to break when more than the predetermined number of consumer goods are inserted between the expandable spacer walls so that the first and the second side walls of the expandable spacer are spaced further apart. Methods of using disclosed containers are also disclosed.

A container (1) for consumer goods, the container comprises an outer housing comprising a box portion (60) and a lid portion (50). The lid portion (50) is linearly movable relative to the box portion between a closed position, in which the lid portion covers the access opening, and an open position, in which the access opening is exposed. The container (1) comprises a locking mechanism configured to transition between: a locked state, in which the lid portion (50) is prevented from moving linearly from the closed position to the open position; and an unlocked state, in which the lid portion (50) is able to move linearly from the closed position to the open position.

A tobacco industry product pack having a container including a base having a front panel and a rear panel spaced from each other by side panels, and a lid hingedly attached to the rear panel a wrapped bundle of tobacco industry products, having a portion extending from the base and which is received in the lid when the lid is closed, is received in the container, the wrapped bundle includes a barrier material having a front surface facing the front panel, a rear surface facing the rear panel, a side surface facing each side panel, and an upper end panel that meets the front, rear and side surfaces at upper front edge, upper rear edge and upper short edge folds respectively, where the barrier material is fin-sealed to form a seam along each side surface, and a seam retainer is attached to the base that partially extends over each of the side surfaces of the portion of the wrapped bundle extending from the base to retain each seam against its side surface.

A locking folding carton includes an insert having a product cavity and at one end a pull tab; and an outer carton having a hinged lid having an angled opening at one end and a finger notch at the other end, wherein the combined insert and carton allows for a voided space inside of the carton adjacent the pull tab end while the insert is within the carton in a closed position, and wherein the hinge and the geometry of the angled lid opening prevents the lid from being opened while the insert is within the carton in a closed position and wherein the insert is moveable within the outer carton to an open position with the voided space inside of the carton adjacent the angled opening end and wherein the hinge and the geometry of the angled lid opening allows the lid to be opened while the insert is within the carton in the open position.

A package, for holding cigarettes, including an open top side, a bottom panel and four side panels. The package includes an expandable pocket for extinguishing, storing and disposing cigarette butts. The expandable pocket is formed by a sheet of a heat resistant, non-combustible material. The expandable pocket is configured to be arranged in a folded configuration wherein the expandable pocket is substantially flat, and an unfolded configuration. The expandable pocket including a first side surface and a second opposing side surface. The first and second side surfaces are interconnected by interconnecting walls. The first side surface is substantially flat and at least partly attached to an inner side of one of the four side panels being a first side panel. A pocket opening is configured to provide access to an interior of the pocket. A tab is configured to reversibly close the pocket opening.
