MODIFIED ATMOSPHERE PACKAGING CONTAINERS
A modified atmosphere container is provided. The container contains a body for receiving a product, a lid configured to provide a seal with a body opening, and a cartridge having a defined internal space. An active agent for preserving the freshness of the product may be disposed within the cartridge.
Lids for drinking cups
An open-topped drinking cup and a lid comprising a lid cover and a mixing device for holding and mixing a condiment into a beverage held in the dinking cup. The lid cover defines a circular mounting aperture within which the mixing device is displaceably located. The mixing device includes at least two mixing elements which are connected to another so as to be telescopically displaceable relative to one another between a retracted condition and an extended condition wherein the mixing device extends into the beverage. The mixing device includes a condiment chamber which is defined within a mixing element for holding a condiment such as sugar. The mixing device further includes a mixing element which has a number of circumferentially-spaced slots through which the condiment is discharged into the beverage.
LIDS FOR DRINKING CUPS
An open-topped drinking cup 10 and a lid 12 comprising a lid cover 14 and a mixing device 16 for holding a mixing a condiment into a beverage 44 held in the dinking cup. The lid cover defines a circular mounting aperture 22 within which the mixing device is displaceably located. The mixing device 16 includes four tubular mixing elements 32.1, 32.2, 32.3, and 32.4 which are connected to another so as to be telescopically displaceable relative to one another between a retracted condition and an extended condition wherein the mixing device extends into the beverage 44. The mixing device 16 includes a condiment holder comprising a condiment chamber 36 which is defined within the mixing element 32.1, for holding a condiment 38 such as sugar. The mixing element 32.4 has a number of circumferentially-spaced slots 42 through which the condiment 38 is discharged into the beverage 44.
BEVERAGE CONTAINER LID WITH RESERVOIR AND REPETITIVE MEASURING AND DISBURSEMENT MECHANISM
A lid for a beverage container having a reservoir chamber for holding drink additive, a measurement chamber in fluid communication with the measurement chamber, and an upper chamber with a lower end in fluid communication with an upper end portion of the reservoir chamber. A plunger has an upper chamber seal, an upper seal and a lower seal, and an actuator moves the plunger between first, second and third plunger positions to dispense a measured drink additive in the measurement chamber into the container. The plunger has a central filler port to receive drink additive and an aperture in fluid communication with the reservoir chamber. The actuator includes a closure member closing the filler port and manually movable to move the plunger. A lock member is movable between locked and unlocked positions, and in the locked position prevents movement of the plunger from the first to the second plunger position.
Measuring and dispensing device
A measuring and dispensing device (10) is used to selectively dispense a selected fixed volume of a solid, flowable human consumable material. The device may be in releasable connection with a container (12) that is operable to deliver the material therefrom to the device by gravity. The device includes a lid (20) which is in rotatable connection with a cup plate (24). The cup plate includes a cup (26) having an interior volume. The cup has a cup outlet (80) that is closable by a relatively movable cup closure (28). The lid includes a lid plate opening (52) and the cup plate includes a cup plate opening (84) that are positionable in overlapping relation to enable the interior volume of the cup to be filled with material from the container. Relatively rotating the lid and cup plate to a cup fill prevented/release orientation that is angularly disposed from the cup fill enabled orientation, is operative to cause a latch (32) to automatically open the cup closure and enable the dispense of the material in the cup interior volume from the cup outlet.

DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR ADDITIVE DISPENSING
This disclosure includes techniques, apparatuses, and implementations for providing a beverage additive and mixing device compatible with standard pre-packaged beverage containers, such as cans, plastic bottles, or glass bottles. For example, in one implementation, the beverage additive and mixing device may be configured to releasably couple with an open beverage container. Once coupled the beverage additive and mixing device may be used to dispense pre-configured amounts of additives, such as a flavor, national supplements, or sweeteners, into the open beverage container.
Reconfigurable container-closure system
A reconfigurable container-closure system is comprised of first and second containers and first and second closures. The container-closure system can assume either of two configurations. First configuration means that the first closure (12) is secured to the first container (10), and the second closure (112) is secured to the second container (110). Also, an orifice reducer (113), cartridge (114) and sleeve (115) are all attached to the second closure (112), and two products are separated. Second configuration means that the second closure (112) is secured to the first container (10), and the first closure (12) is secured to the second container (110). Also, the orifice reducer (113), cartridge (114) and sleeve (115) are all attached to the first container (10), and two products are allowed to mix and be dispensed. The transfer is accomplished by a user who simply screws the second closure onto the first container (10).
