SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR DE-OXYGENATION OF A CLOSED CONTAINER
20180002081 · 2018-01-04 ·

Systems and methods for preserving oxidizable substances such as liquids or foodstuffs are disclosed. These systems incorporate a sealing device and an oxygen scavenging chemical or agent coupleable to the system. The oxygen scavenging agent can remove the oxygen from the headspace of a container such as a bottle of wine without reducing the pressure in the headspace to the extent that the flavor of the wine is adversely affected.

Moisture Regulating Container
20230227223 · 2023-07-20 ·

The present invention concerns an innovative method for the preservation of fresh produce through the introduction of an absorbent material (4) to the interior face of a transparent, removable, hermetically sealed container lid (2). Once sealed the greenhouse effect and temperature changes within the container (1) caused by the surrounding environment and solar rays cause evaporation and condensation, which is then sequestered within the absorbent material. Moreover, the container, being hermetically sealed maintains stable humidity as the presence of the moisture captured by the absorbent material achieves equilibrium with the contents within the sealed environment.

This assembly includes a tubular body and a cap attached to the tubular body to define a chamber for an active material. The tubular body includes a transverse wall and a peripheral wall and the cap includes a base wall and a side wall. The chamber is delimited by a part of the tubular body including the transverse wall and is closed by the cap. The side wall of the cap on its periphery includes a plurality of longitudinal features in relief which cooperate by mutual engagement with complementary longitudinal features in relief provided on the peripheral wall of the tubular body substantially parallel to its longitudinal axis (X.sub.2).

Capsule for closing a container

A closure capsule for closing a container, comprising: —a cap (2) that can be associated with a container and comprising a frangible mouth (20); —a cutter (3) comprising a cutting edge (30) designed to open said frangible mouth (20) which assumes a first configuration in which it is intact and a second configuration in which it is open; —a covering (4) of the cap (2) and the cutter (3); in the first configuration at least the cap (2) and the cutter (3) define a tank (8) for containing a product destined to be dropped into the container in said second configuration; —transmission means (5) for transmitting a rotary component from the covering (4) to the cutter (3); —moisture absorbing means (10) which surmount at least one portion of said cutter (3).
