Unlockable Tie Apparatus
20230052884 · 2023-02-16 ·

A tie to secure items therewithin that can be loosened or released to allow the items to be removed therefrom and the tie to be reused. The tie includes an elongated strap having teeth formed thereon that engage with teeth in a latch extending into an opening in a locking head that the strap passes through. The engagement of the strap teeth and the latch teeth allow movement in only one direction (tightening). A receptacle is located on the latch that enables a tool to be received therein and pivot the latch in order disengage the latch teeth from the strap teeth so that the strap can move in an opposite direction (removal).

Self-binding equipment ties

A self-binding equipment tie may include a bendable core, a flexible cover surrounding the bendable core, and a cavity that surrounds the bendable core within the cover. The bendable core may retain a shape when bent into the shape. The bendable core may be bendable by hand. The bendable core may be unrestrained within the cavity such that the bendable core is moveable within the cavity along two degrees of freedom. The two degrees of freedom may be perpendicular to a length of the flexible cover. The bendable core may be adjacent to an interior surface of the flexible cover, where the interior surface defines the cavity.

Pressure sensor for a pipe

A pressure sensor for a pipe includes: a flexible strip; at least one strain sensing element; and a tensioning device. A first end of the flexible strip passes through a second end of the flexible strip. Between the first end of the flexible strip and the second end of the flexible strip, the flexible strip includes the at least one strain sensing element. The pressure sensor is attachable to the pipe. The first end of the flexible strip extends through or past the second end of the flexible strip. The tensioning device tensions the pressure sensor around the pipe.

Triphalangeal Ultrasound Probe Stabilization Feature

Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a stabilization feature configured to be coupled to an ultrasound probe, or similar medical device and grasped by one or more fingers of a user. The user can then manipulate the stabilization feature and probe assembly without requiring any opposing pressure to be applied by the thumb. As such a user is free to use the thumb to operate controls disposed on the probe, or stabilize a skin surface, or the like. The stabilization feature can include a first portion configured to be grasped by one or more fingers, and a second portion configured to engage the probe. Further, the second portion can engage the probe through a sheath to maintain a sterile barrier therebetween. Alternatively, the first portion can be grasped by one or more fingers through a sheath to maintain a sterile barrier therebetween.
