The plurality of panels extends at least partially around an interior of the carrier, and the plurality of panels includes a top panel, a bottom panel, and at least one side panel. The handle includes at least one handle feature in the top panel. The at least one handle feature includes a plurality of foldably connected handle sections that includes a first outer section and a second outer section each foldably connected to a central section and such that the at least one handle feature is positionable between a first, substantially flat configuration and a second, substantially recessed configuration wherein the handle is activated for carrying the carrier.

A carrier for holding at least one article includes a plurality of panels and a handle. The plurality of panels extends at least partially around an interior of the carrier, and the plurality of panels includes a top panel, a bottom panel, and at least one side panel. The handle includes at least one handle feature in the top panel. A carrier for at least partially holding a plurality of articles can comprise a plurality of panels that can comprise at least a top panel, a side panel, and a bottom panel. A plurality of article receiver features can be disposed in at least the top panel in at least a first row and a second row. The first row can comprise at least one more article receiver feature than the second row. Each article receiver feature of the plurality of article receiver features can be for at least partially receiving a respective article of the plurality of articles. A retention feature can extend in at least one of the side panel and the bottom panel. The retention feature can be for at least partially retaining at least one article that is at least partially received in a respective one of the article receiving features in the first row.

A carrier for at least partially holding a plurality of articles can comprise a plurality of panels that can comprise at least a top panel, a side panel, and a bottom panel. A plurality of article receiver features can be disposed in at least the top panel in at least a first row and a second row. The first row can comprise at least one more article receiver feature than the second row. Each article receiver feature of the plurality of article receiver features can be for at least partially receiving a respective article of the plurality of articles. A retention feature can extend in at least one of the side panel and the bottom panel. Aspects of the disclosure relate to a carton for packaging a plurality of flanged articles (B), a blank for forming the carton and a method of packaging articles. The carrier comprises a top panel (18) and a pair of side panels (14,22) coupled to the top panel (18) to define an interior space for receiving at least part of each article. The carrier may comprise a first stabilizer (52a, 54a) struck from the top panel such that the first stabilizer defines at least in part a handle aperture in the top panel. The first stabilizer is hingedly connected to the top panel so as to be foldable inwardly into the interior space to provide a finger cushion. The first stabilizer comprises a pair of hooking panels hingedly connected together along a center fold line. The hooking panels comprise engaging edges respectively for engaging the undersides of the flanges of a pair of adjacent flanged articles.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a carton for packaging a plurality of flanged articles (B), a blank for forming the carton and a method of packaging articles. The carrier comprises a top panel (18) and a pair of side panels (14,22) coupled to the top panel (18) to define an interior space for receiving at least part of each article. The carrier may comprise a first stabilizer (52a, 54a) struck from the top panel such that the first stabilizer defines at least in part a handle aperture in the top panel. An article protection insert comprises a plurality of features for engaging a respective article of the plurality of articles. At least one access feature is in the top panel for positioning the article protection insert to a position wherein the features engage at least one article of the plurality of articles.

A carton for containing at least one article. The carton includes a plurality of panels at least partially forming an interior of the carton. The plurality of panels includes a top panel. The carton includes an article protection flap foldably connected to at least one panel of the plurality of panels. The article protection flap is moveable between a first position that is substantially parallel to the top panel and a second position wherein the article protection flap is folded relative to the top panel. The at least one access feature in the top panel is for positioning the article protection flap from the first position to the second position.

The invention relates to a coated paperboard (10) for beverage container carriers (30) comprising: a paperboard substrate (12), a dispersion coating layer (18, 20) on each side (14, 16) of the paperboard substrate (12), wherein the paperboard substrate (12) comprises wet strength agents in an amount in a range from 0 wt % to 0.05 wt %, based on the dry solid content of the substrate (12) and sizing agents for making the paperboard (12) substrate more hydrophobic, wherein the sizing agents are present in an amount of 0.15 wt %, especially in a range from 0.15 wt % to 0.5 wt %, based on the dry solid content of the substrate (12). The invention further relates to a beverage container carrier (30) comprising or being made from the aforementioned coated paperboard (10).
