The invention is generally directed to a package for a value item including a removable layer. In some embodiments, the invention includes a greeting card including a value item including a removable layer. In some embodiments, the invention includes a value item packaging system, including a package made from a substrate with colors or patterns printed thereon, and a removable layer disposed on top of, and at least partially obscuring, the colors or patterns, the package at least partially enclosing the item, and a stylus s configured to scrape or scratch away at least a portion of the removable layer thereby showing the colors or patterns printed beneath. Some embodiments may be a packaging system using a box and a lid made from a substrate at least partially covered by a liner, the liner having colors or patterns at least partially obscured by a removable layer; and a stylus.

Packaging comprising: (a) a top portion; and (b) a bottom portion connected to and separable from the top portion by a fold region; wherein the fold region include scoring, perforation, or both to facilitate separation of the top portion and the bottom portion.

A receiving unit is disposed remote from the product package and receives the signal from the transmitter and sounds an alarm. A passive RFID tag may be located within the compartment and detected when passing through a walk-through scanner.

A hair accessory includes bundled synthetic braiding hair. The bundled synthetic braiding hair can include a first bundle of synthetic hair and a second bundle of synthetic hair strands. Other bundles with different lengths can be included as well. The first bundle and the second bundle can have different lengths and can be bundled at a common center, or alternatively can have a common length and can be bundled with their centers offset by a predefined distance. A binder can be coupled about a waist of the bundled synthetic braiding hair. When the bundled synthetic braiding hair is folded about the binder, the different strand lengths work to define a substantially cardioid shaped perimeter of the bundled synthetic braiding hair.

A security packaging provides a structure for providing evidence of package tampering. The packaging includes a first panel having an opening, and a foil label at least partially overlaying the opening and at least partially adhered to an insert member.
