Tack welded fin seal
Systems and methods of a container having a tack welded fin seal. The container may include a film, a tack weld joining a first outer portion of a first edge and a second outer portion of the first edge, and a fin seal joining a first inner portion of the first edge of the film and a second inner portion of a second edge of the film. The container may include a faceplate integrally molded to an outer layer of a first end portion of the film. The faceplate may include substantially the same composition as an outer layer of the first end portion, such that no distinct layers are formed between the faceplate and the film. The tack weld may be formed at a tack welding system, and the fin seal may be formed at a fin sealing system having a mandrel.
POUCH FOR RETORT FOOD
The present invention relates to a pouch for retort food, and more particularly, to a pouch for retort food wherein the pouch is put into a microwave oven in a state where food is stored therein and is used for heating food, and from which steam generated during a cooking process may be properly exhausted, thereby improving the texture and taste of food and having reduced manufacturing costs.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING BIODEGRADABLE PILLOW TEA BAGS CONTAINING WHOLE LEAF TEA
A biodegradable whole leaf pillow tea bag is provided, along with a system and method for manufacturing biodegradable whole leaf pillow tea bags. The method for manufacturing the whole leaf pillow tea bags includes the steps of providing a biodegradable infusion substrate having two opposing edge; creating a sleeve from the biodegradable infusion substrate by infusing the two opposing edges of the substrate together and closing the sleeve at its bottom; placing whole leaf tea in the bottom of the sleeve; vertically feeding the sleeve containing the whole leaf tea into a heat sealing machine that will, at predetermined intervals create heat seals across the sleeve to create pillow bags; cutting the pillow bags from one another across the heat seal. In one example, the biodegradable infusion substrate may contain hemp and/or the whole leaf tea may be infused with CBD oil or other supplements. The same method of manufacturing may be used to create a biodegradable pillow bag containing coffee.
INTEGRATED CARD AND GIFT PACKAGING WITH CARRIER
Packaging for a transaction card, comprising: (1) a card carrier having the transaction card secured to a first surface of the card carrier; and (2) gift packaging integrally formed with and separable from the card carrier, the gift packaging having a first panel and an opposing second panel; wherein, in a closed state, the gift packaging is folded onto the card carrier so that the second panel of the gift packaging substantially abuts the first surface of the card carrier and sandwiches the transaction card between the first surface of the card carrier and the second panel of the gift packaging.

Techniques and packages for packaging medical supplies
In some examples, a package includes a package body enclosing a medical supply. The package body defines a window. The package includes a breathable membrane adjacent the package body and extending across the window. The package includes a moisture oxygen scavenger adjacent the package body and extending across the breathable membrane. The package includes an adhesive layer configured to hold the moisture oxygen scavenger adjacent the breathable membrane. In some examples, a technique includes sterilizing a package precursor including the package body and the breathable membrane, and after the sterilizing, adhering the moisture oxygen scavenger to the package body to form the package.
PASTEURIZATION POUCH WITH BARRIER
A package comprising a first panel defining a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and at least two side edges; a second panel defining a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and at least two side edges, wherein the second panel is connected to the first panel via longitudinal seams formed along respective side edges of the first and second panels; and at least one end seam formed along at least one of the first end or the second end of the first and second panels, wherein the at least one end seam comprises an outer edge; and a barrier coating disposed on an interior surface of at least one of the first and second panels, wherein the barrier coating does not extend to the side edges of the longitudinal seams or the outer edge of the at least one end seam.
