UNIT DOSE DISPENSING MECHANISMS

Mechanisms for dispensing items such as medications and medical supplies. Different mechanisms may be tailored to dispensing different kinds of items, for example medications in single dose packages, vials, syringes, or other similarly-shaped items. The dispensers may be placed in a dispensing unit that includes a lockable restock drawer and a dispense drawer into which items are dispensed by the dispensing mechanisms. The various kinds of dispensing mechanisms may be installed in the restock drawer in any workable proportion and arrangement. The dispensing mechanisms include multiple sensing technologies for tracking and inventory of items and for accurate sensing of items as they are dispensed.

Tablet Dispensing Product

A dispensing product for storing a plurality of cleaning product tablets and individually dispensing them on demand that has a carousel assembly, a base, a lid, and an advancement mechanism. The carousel assembly has a plurality of depressions sized and configured to receive tablets. The base is underneath the carousel assembly. The lid is on top of the carousel and contains an aperture sized and configured such that a tablet can be withdrawn through the aperture. The advancement mechanism is connected to the carousel assembly and advances the carousel assembly rotationally.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE FOR INHALATION DEVICE

A method for fabricating an inhalation device includes the steps of disposing a medicament carrier with a first member, the carrier being connected with a layer; engaging a second member with the first member to support the layer therebetween, the second member including a cutting surface and defining a cavity; and translating the carrier relative to the members to dispose the carrier with the cavity and cut the layer about the carrier. In some embodiments, manufacturing systems, manufacturing apparatus, inhalation devices, dispensing devices, and medicaments are disclosed.

System and method for digitally translating natural language prescription medication label to programmatically operable structure for use with smart pill containers

A smart pill container and system integrating the same, combined with a method for digitally translating natural language prescription medication into a programmatically operable structure and form for use by the smart pill container system, where the digital translation includes the abstraction of a prescription frequency characteristic into a number of “slots” and the abstraction of a prescription temporary characteristic by creating an array of “as of” date and value pairs, allowing for the building of a patient's prescription schedule, where the smart pill container has a number of pill wells for storing different doses of medication, and where based on the prescription schedule, an opening in the pill container provides at least one user with access to the medication stored in a particular one of the pill wells at a given dosing time, and where a platform associated with the pill container provides instructions for dosing such medication and monitors use of the pill container for compliance with the prescribed medical regimen.

DISPENSER, POD, AND METHOD FOR DISPENSING AND TRACKING USAGE OF SUPPLEMENTS AND/OR PHARMACEUTICALS

A multi-serving cartridge assembly is provided with a frame defining serving chambers to receive a supplement. A plurality of trap doors is connected to the frame with each trap door associated with a respective one of the plurality of serving chambers and moveable between a first closed position to enclose the associated serving chamber and a second open position to dispense the supplement therefrom. A dispensing system is provided with a housing including a cartridge bay shaped to receive a cartridge with a plurality of unique identifiers, and a computer control system to read the unique identifier, open the serving chamber, and send a signal to a remote system. A method of dispensing supplement from a cartridge is also provided.

Tray for an electronic smoking device or parts thereof

The present invention relates generally to electronic smoking devices and in particular to a tray for at least a portion of an electronic smoking device. The tray (100) comprises at least one cavity (101) for containing the portion. The tray (100) is configured to be reversibly deformed from a default form into a deformed form by finger interaction with interaction elements of the tray (100) having a distance to each other of at least 90% of the average distance between thumb tip and index finger tip or a middle finger tip of an adult. The tray (100) is configured to return to the default form once the finger interaction is terminated. The default form provides the at least one cavity (101) for containing the portion in an inaccessible manner and the deformed form is required for accessing the portion.

Indexer for test-sensor cartridge

An indexer adapted to index a test sensor from a test-sensor cartridge. The indexer includes an indexer face having a first aperture formed generally through the center thereof. The indexer further includes a retention pin extending through the first aperture and a flexible pawl positioned near an edge of the indexer face. The indexer is adapted to be rotated in a first direction and a second generally opposite direction about the retention pin. The flexible pawl is configured to bend when the indexer is rotated in the second direction. The flexible pawl is configured to assist in rotating the test-sensor cartridge.
