Dosing dispenser system

A dosing dispenser for a flowable composition includes a housing, a traveler, a plunger, and a driver. The housing defines a chamber, and the plunger is movable within the chamber. The traveler is at least partially within the chamber and configured to selectively position the plunger. The driver is at least partially within the chamber and configured to movably position the traveler relative to the driver. The driver is engaged with the traveler within the chamber.

Apparatus and method for formulation and dispensing of visually customized cosmetics

A system and method determine color of skin of a subject and produce a customized cosmetic based at least in part on the determined color of skin. A region of skin is covered with a chamber having an open area facing the skin. The skin is illuminated with light caused to enter the chamber. The light is caused to be dispersed within the chamber. A camera is used to record an image of a portion of the dispersed light in the chamber and the recorded image is processed to characterize the color of the skin. The recorded image includes a plurality of colors which are mapped to the closest color recipe. The color recipe is used to calculate actuator displacements for a portioning machine that includes a cartridge having cosmetic additives that produce the customized cosmetic.

Telescoping syringe with one-way valve

A telescoping syringe suitable for use with medications and other ejectable or injectable fluids is presented. The syringe includes a plunger, a barrel, and a valve. The plunger is extendible from and retractable into the barrel. The plunger defines a first reservoir. The barrel defines a second reservoir as the plunger is extended from the barrel. The valve is disposed at one end of the plunger adjacent to a nipple extending from the barrel. A first sealing interface is formed by the valve and a distal wall along the barrel adjacent to the nipple. A second sealing interface is formed by an annular flange along the one-way valve and an annular groove along the plunger. A third sealing interface is formed by the valve and a circumferential end along the plunger. The sealing interfaces are closed prior to extension of the plunger from the barrel thereby preventing a gas from entering and a fluid from existing the first reservoir. The sealing interfaces are open when the plunger is extended from the barrel so that the gas enters the first reservoir via an inlet(s) along the annular groove and fluid is communicated into the second reservoir via an outlet(s) along the valve. The second and third sealing interfaces are closed when the plunger is retracted into the barrel thereby allowing fluid to exit the second reservoir via the nipple.

Universal minimal waste dispensing tip

An applicator for a syringe is provided that includes a hub configured to be disposed at least partially within a nozzle of the syringe and defining a fluid passage therethrough, with one or barbs on the hub that frictionally and sealingly engage an interior of the nozzle in a manner minimizing void space associated with waste of deliverable material, and an applicator tip extending distally from the hub. The barb(s) may have varying diameters in order to enable the applicator to be engaged and utilized with syringes having different diameter nozzles. Further the fluid passage through the hub and applicator tip is dimensioned to minimize the volume of material that is retained within the applicator after use, thereby increasing the volume of material that can dispensed from the syringe for use in a procedure or procedures and minimize waste.

Reusable cartridge for injection molding

Reusable cartridges allow the time consuming resin preparation and processing steps to occur offline and not affect the cycling time of the injector. Cartridges also greatly simplify the operation of RTM injectors as preparation simply consists of loading a warmed ready-to-use resin cartridge and performing the injection.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING AIR INGRESSION INTO SEALANT TUBES

A sealant tube for use in a pneumatic sealant gun for reducing or eliminating air bubbles in the sealant being dispensed. The sealant tube may fit within a hollow sleeve of the pneumatic sealant gun and contains sealant and a slidable plunger. The tube body may include an inner surface, an outer surface opposite the inner surface, a first opening, a second opening opposite the first opening, and pressure release openings formed through the tube body, such that air from a pressurized air source flows into the tube body and between the tube body and the hollow sleeve during use of the pneumatic sealant gun, equalizing pressure on the inner surface and the outer surface of the tube body. A seal or gasket may also be located proximate the second opening of the tube body, for forming an airtight seal between the hollow sleeve and the tube body.

Reusable cartridge based system for precision placement of construction materials

An apparatus has a cartridge utilized to contain a volume of construction material. A piston is inserted into the cartridge under operable control by at least one plunger assembly. A forming device is removably mounted to the cartridge opposite to the piston. A loading assembly is engaged to the cartridge to sequentially insert the volume of construction material and the piston into the cartridge. At least one sensor package is oriented towards the cartridge to capture at least one condition datum from the volume of construction material. A unitary controller receives and processes the condition datum to supply control signals to the plunger assembly and the loading assembly based on historical condition data.

VESSELS AND METHODS FOR CRYOPRESERVATION

An article including, either: a frame having an interior cavity, and a flexible liner situated within the interior cavity; or a deformable frame having an interior cavity, as defined herein.
Either frame can receive a sample, such as liquid having suspended live cells, and cooling freezes the sample to a solid sample. The solid sample can be readily ejected from the article having either a frame with the flexible liner, or the deformable frame, without extensive thawing. The solid sample can be rapidly displaced from the article by the methods and apparatus disclosed herein.

Container bag for liquid having a spout

To prevent a reduction in a bending strength and a buckling strength of a container bag for fluid in which a spout is mounted on an upper end of a trunk section formed of a sheet material. Cells 9 are formed between two films of the sheet material 2 by bonding the films together along bonding lines 8, and inflated with fluid. The cells 9 positioned within a width of the spout in a width direction of the trunk section 5 extends downwardly from a site at which the spout 6 is clamped by the layers of the sheet material 2. A lower end of the spout 6 is situated lower than upper ends of the cells 9.
