EXTERNAL FLOATING ROOF TANK SHELL EXTENSION
The invention relates to an inexpensive technique and procedure to add storage capacity to existing hydrocarbon storage tanks that have a double seal floating roof. The additional storage capacity is obtained by installing an extension that is strong enough to provide the upper seal of the double seal arrangement to maintain a sealed vapor space that allows the roof to move higher within the existing peripheral wall of the storage tank.

Device for protecting a liquid from oxidation
A device for protecting a liquid from oxidation inside a container includes a first element supplying the liquid inside the container, a second element supplying the liquid outside the container and a control unit. A pneumatic control system is configured to produce an overpressure inside the container and on the liquid when the liquid is supplied outside the container, such that, following a decrease in the volume of the liquid inside the container, the pneumatic control system increases its volume by an amount equal to the change in the volume of the liquid. The pneumatic control system includes a variable capacity tank and a pipe supplying and discharging a fluid for filling the tank. A system supplying and discharging the filling fluid is connected to the pipe and the supplying and discharging pipe communicates with the variable capacity tank through a connection placed inside the container at its lower end.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING VAPOR EXPANSIONS AND CONTRACTIONS INSIDE OF CLOSED STORAGE VESSELS
Methods, systems, and apparatus for the safe storage of atmospheric air inside a vessel that stores volatile liquid and vapors. The apparatus includes a storage tank defining a tank cavity for storing the volatile liquid and vapors. The apparatus includes a tube having a top opening positioned outside the tank cavity and a bottom opening positioned within the tank cavity. The apparatus includes a bag flange connected to the tube bottom opening and located within the tank cavity. The apparatus includes a bag connected to the bag flange and located within the tank cavity, the bag receiving or emitting atmospheric air via the tube when the volatile liquid and vapors stored within the storage tank contract or expand due to variations in temperature of the stored volatile liquid and vapors, and a weight and a location of the bag within the tank cavity being supported by the bag flange.
INTERMODAL CONTAINER REDUCING THE POLLUTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT
A device forming a stackable container that can be used to transport products includes a portion forming a crate defining a base and four side walls and a top wall, secured to one another in a sealed manner, made mainly of a plastic material; a door for sealingly closing the crate, forming with the crate, when closed onto same, a sealed box; a system for drawing and compressing gases contained in the closed box; and at least one tight casing for storing the drawn and compressed gases, rigidly connect to the box and forming a bracing frame during transport and a flotation buoy when the container is immersed in water.

TANK FOR STORING PETROLEUM PRODUCTS AND FLOATING ELEMENT FOR SAID TANK
Present invention relates to the field of a storage tank design and can be used in the construction of tanks for storing light ends and, preferably, for storing gasoline. The claimed tank for storing petroleum products consists of a body, a roof and a floating protective cover comprised of a plurality of floating elements in the form of solids of revolution having the same shape. In the tank, a portion of the floating elements of the protective cover is situated below the surface of the liquid, and a portion is situated in the gas space of the tank. The distinguishing feature of the proposed invention is the floating elements, which differ from one another in shape and size by not more than 5%. Furthermore, the floating elements that make up the floating protective cover have a centre of flotation that is offset from their geometric centre. All of the elements of the protective cover are made of non-sparking metal. The technical result of the invention is that of reducing the rate of evaporation of the liquid and the concentration of vapors, suppressing the process of combustion and preventing the possibility of electrostatic buildup and spark discharge between the floating elements.
