THERMOPLASTIC FILMS AND PRODUCTS WITH DIFFUSION-BASED COMPARTMENTALIZED ADDITIVE COMPONENTS
The present disclosure relates to thermoplastic films and products formed therefrom that include additive components effectively compartmentalized based on diffusion characteristics of the additive components. For example, first and second additive components are localized on a thermoplastic film in a manner that as the additive components diffuse, they minimize or avoid interaction. Specifically, the thermoplastic film is folded over itself to create an air gap that causes the additive components to desorb, diffuse into the air gap, and then absorb into the film at a position across the air gap rather than diffusing substantially laterally across the thermoplastic film. By ensuring that the additive components diffuse up and down rather than laterally and by laterally offsetting the additive components, one or more implementations effectively compartmentalize the antagonistic components.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTAINING ODORS AND PROBLEMATIC ITEMS BEING DISPOSED
A refuse bag and preventative container combination used to eliminate odors or to contain problematic items being disposed of. In use, the odorous garbage or the problematic items are placed within the preventative container and the preventative container is then seal to either reduce or eliminate any odors emanating from the items placed inside or to prevent the items placed inside to escape from the preventative container. The preventative container is then placed inside the refuse bag and the refuse bag can continue to be used until it is full or it is otherwise time to dispose of. Other house problematic items, such as cat litter, animal waste, grease, or similar items can be placed in the preventative container for disposal.
HALO ACTIVE AROMATIC SULFONAMIDE ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS
Antimicrobial compositions used to form a residual dry-coat include a halo active aromatic sulfonamide compound of Formula (I):
##STR00001##
wherein the variables R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, X, M and n are disclosed herein. The compositions and processes utilizing the same can be used as a dry coating or layer to maintain disinfected surfaces with reduced microbial count over extended time periods ranging from multiple days up to several weeks.
Closure components for securing a bag to a container
Closure component for securing a bag to a support in a container includes an annular portion including an upper wall, and inner and outer circumferential walls extending downward from an inner and outer edge region of the upper wall, respectively. A channel is defined on an underside of the annular portion by the inner, outer and upper walls. A pinch is on the inner or outer wall and includes a pair of slots extending upward from a lower edge of that wall and which are spaced apart from one another to enable a solid portion of that wall to temporarily flex outward relative to the channel. The upper wall includes an opening above each pinch. An optional extension portion extends radially outward from the outer wall and engages with attachment structure. The closure component is pivotable relative to the support via engagement of the extension portion with the attachment structure.
Scented drawstring bag
The present invention is directed to a thermoplastic bag comprised of a front panel and a back panel. The front panel and back panel are generally joined along a first side edge, a second side edge, and a bottom edge of the respective front panel and back panel. The front panel has a distal edge with the distal edge folded over the front panel to provide a hem and an overlap area immediately below the first hem. The overlap encapsulates a scent carrier that can provide a scent to the thermoplastic bag.

Cat-repelling trash bag and associated use thereof
A cat-repelling trash bag includes a flexible body having a deformably resilient inner layer, an outer layer selectively spaced from the deformably resilient inner layer, and a deformable cavity situated between the deformably resilient inner layer and the outer layer. A cat-repellant agent is dynamically located within the cavity. A plurality of divider walls are seated inside the cavity when the bag is at a non-tensioned state. Each of the divider walls being engaged with the deformably resilient inner layer and the outer layer. Advantageously, when an internal force is exerted against an interior of the body, the deformably resilient inner layer is stretched outwardly towards the outer layer. When the deformably resilient inner layer is stretched outwardly towards the outer layer, the divider walls are selectively and partially penetrated exterior of the outer layer such that the cat-repelling agent is released exterior of the cavity.
Ventilated Trash Bag Device
The present invention relates to a ventilated trash bag device that eliminates excess air within the device when installed within a trash receptacle. The device has at least one ventilation hole and/or ventilation tab that is preferably positioned near an opening of the device. The hole and/or tab allows excess air to leave the body of the device while it is being installed within a trash receptacle.
Vomit bag with anti-nausea aroma dispenser
A vomit receptacle that includes a nausea relief substance that may be released on demand to relieve the nausea of a user who also must be prepared to contain a vomiting event. The receptacle may be a flexible bag, and the relief substance may be contained in a sealed packet in the bag, or in a kit with the bag. The substance may be an aromatic essential oil such as peppermint oil.
COMPOSITIONS AND MATERIALS FOR ODOR REDUCING ARTICLES INCLUDING TRASH BAGS
Disclosed herein are polymer-based films (and articles of manufacture made therefrom or comprising thereof). In several embodiments, the film comprises biodegradable polymers. In several embodiments, the film comprises post-consumer recycled material. In several embodiments, the film comprises an odor absorbing agent (e.g., carbon). In several embodiments, an article of manufacture comprising a film as disclosed herein or the film itself is biodegradable.
