A bag gate is flexibly coupled within the housing inside. The bag gate is biased to rest in the pinch position. A plurality of parallel retaining ridges is coupled to the housing. Each of the retaining ridges extends vertically from the right side and the left side within the housing inside. A tab is coupled to the housing. The tab proximal end has a hinge extending between the left side and the right side proximal the top side and the back side. The tab moves between a locked position engaged within the retaining ridges and a released position extending behind the housing.

The front wall has at number of slits that define one or more tabs. In another embodiment the side wall has a groove with a first and second surface, and the back wall has a hole whose perimeter aligns with the interior of the side wall. In another embodiment the bag gripper is part of a trash can. In another embodiment the bag gripper is integral with a trash can.

An outer can having a second space includes an outer opening and an outer valve configured to close and expose the outer opening. The inner can is positioned within the second space. The first inner seal is configured to form a substantially air-tight seal between the first inner seal and the outer can. The inner valve is closed when the outer valve is opened, and the inner valve is opened when the outer valve is closed.

A channel is defined on an underside of the annular portion by the inner, outer and upper walls. A pinch is on the inner or outer wall and includes a pair of slots extending upward from a lower edge of that wall and which are spaced apart from one another to enable a solid portion of that wall to temporarily flex outward relative to the channel. The upper wall includes an opening above each pinch. An optional extension portion extends radially outward from the outer wall and engages with attachment structure. The closure component is pivotable relative to the support via engagement of the extension portion with the attachment structure.

The apparatus includes a bolt that extends through a side hole formed on the receptacle. The bolt's head is placed adjacent to the inside surface of the receptacle and the threaded shaft extends through the side hole. When a plastic bag is inserted into the receptacle, the bag's top edge is folded over the outside surface of the receptacle and placed below or adjacent to the side hole. The holder includes a flange nut with internal threads which when tightened on the shaft, presses against the portion of the plastic bag adjacent to the side hole. When tightened, the portion of the plastic bag is pulled which tightens the plastic bag around the receptacle.

Trash bag detection device, smart trash receptacle and method for control of automatic bag replacement

The present invention discloses a trash bag detection device for a smart trash receptacle, comprising a transmitter for transmitting a signal and a receiver for receiving a signal, both the transmitter and the receiver being disposed on internal surfaces of the trash receptacle, wherein the signal received by the receiver is a direct signal transmitted from the transmitter or a signal from the transmitter that has been reflected. The present invention also discloses a smart trash receptacle incorporating such a trash bag detection device and a method for control of automatic bag replacement. With the present invention, the position of a trash bag in the trash receptacle can be automatically detected, allowing improved intelligent control of the trash receptacle. This is helpful in protecting the trash bag, saving resources, reducing potential safety risks of the smart trash receptacle and increasing its stability and reliability.
