AUTOMATIC SORTING OF WASTE
A waste sorting system uses various sensors to automatically determine whether a piece of waste is recyclable, and to dispense the waste into an appropriate waste bin of a multi-bin device, at least one of which is a recyclable waste bin. The system also uses sensors to determine a type of the waste, and it causes a display device or speaker to output information about the type of waste.
WASTE RECEPTACLE WITH SENSING AND INTERACTIVE PRESENTATION SYSTEM
Systems and methods for operating a system. The methods comprise: generating sensor data by at least one sensor of a waste receptacle that specifies at least one characteristic of at least one item; performing operations by the waste receptacle to identify first media content that is associated with the at least one characteristic of the at least one item; causing the first media content to be output from the waste receptacle or an external device when the first media content is identified by the waste receptacle; and selecting second media content different from the first media content and causing the second media content to be output from the waste receptacle or the external device, when the first media content is unable to be identified by the waste receptacle.
Automatic sorting of waste
A waste sorting system uses various sensors to automatically determine a type of a piece of waste, and dispense the waste into an appropriate waste bin, such as a recyclable waste bin, or a landfill waste bin. If the system determines that the piece of waste is of a type that is recyclable, it will first determine whether the waste satisfies a recyclability threshold before it deposits the waste into a recyclable waste bin. If the waste does not satisfy the recyclability threshold, the system will direct the piece of waste to a non-recyclable waste bin even if it is of a type that would otherwise be recyclable if it had met the recyclability threshold.
SORTING WASTE RECEPTACLE
The sorting waste receptacle sorts and temporarily stores differing types of waste items. The sorting waste receptacle includes a hollow housing having a top wall, a bottom wall and at least one sidewall. The top wall has an opening formed therein for depositing a waste item, and a lower interior portion of the hollow housing is divided into a plurality of separate compartments, each compartment corresponding to a different type of waste. When the waste item is inserted through the opening formed in the top wall, the waste item is temporarily held within a movable chute inside the hollow housing. While in the chute, the waste item is weighed by a scale and at least one sensor determines its composition. Based on the composition of the waste item, the chute is moved above the corresponding one of the separate compartments for dispensing of the waste item therein.

WASTE SORTING DEVICE
A waste sorting device is characterized in that it is equipped with a waste collection tank coupled to a press (1), a set of sensors (4) submitting information to a controller system (2) which starts an initiated process of crushing with the press (1), during which the set of sensors (4) examines the object in terms of physical properties, and on the basis of signals form a position sensor (5), it opens a trapdoor (6) of the container for waste segregation. Below the collection tank and the press (1), it has a rotatable container for waste segregation, controlled by the controller (2), and rotated for segregation by means of a drive (3). The controller (2) starts the crushing process, and the set of sensors (4) analyzes the hardness, on the basis of resistance to compression, electrical conductivity, magnetic permeability, and then the controller (2) specifies the material from which the segregated waste is made.
