SAFETY DEVICE FOR PUSH CONVEYOR
A flight conveyor for conveying articles while preventing injuries to an operator, the flight conveyor comprising a frame defining a trough, a drive system defining a rotating pathway and at least one flight driven by the drive system along the rotating pathway for conveying the articles through the trough, wherein the at least one flight is detachably fastened to the drive system and configured to be detached when subjected to a resistive force capable of injuring an operator.
FIREWOOD HANDLING DEVICE
The invention relates to a firewood handling device for firewood pieces (6), comprising a conveyor (1), including one or more rotating, endless chains (9), wherein the conveyor extends from an input end (2) to an output end (4). The conveyor chains are provide with carriers (10), which project outwards from the outer sides of the chains and extend across and on a distance from each other in relation to the longitudinal extension of the conveyor such that spaces are formed between the carriers into which firewood pieces (6) can be positioned having their longitudinal extension across the longitudinal extension of the conveyor. The carriers (10) are formed with at least two, not cut through slots or recesses (42, 43, 44) from below as well as from above which overlap each other, wherein the conveyor (1) in its output end (4) is provided with at least two inner guiding members (45) as well as with at least two outer guiding members (46). Both the inner and the outer guiding members are provided with smooth upper sliding surfaces and are mounted such that the sliding surfaces (45′) of the inner guiding members extend and have an increasing height in the conveying direction and are positioned such that they are aligned with the slots or recesses extending from below in the carriers, whereas the sliding surfaces (46′) of the outer guiding members extend and have a decreasing height in the conveying direction and are positioned such that they are aligned with the slots or recesses extending from above in the carriers, and wherein the sliding surfaces of the inner and the outer guiding members extend essentially without interruption or somewhat overlapping in relation to each other as seen in the conveying direction.
CONVEYOR SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOVING SLACK IN CONVEYOR
A method is provided for removing slack in a chain conveyor driven between a first sprocket and a second sprocket, the first sprocket and the second sprocket rotating in a first direction. The method includes: locking the second sprocket to prevent rotation of the second sprocket in a second direction opposite the first direction; operating the first sprocket in the second direction to position a slack portion between the first sprocket and the second sprocket; and removing at least one chain link from the slack portion.
CHAIN AND SLAT CONVEYOR AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY
A chain and slat conveyor with first and second continuous chains and a plurality of slats. Each slat is connected to the first chain by a keyhole connection and to the second chain by a bolt or rivet which passes through a hole in the slat.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TENSIONING A CONVEYOR IN A MINING SYSTEM
A method of tensioning a conveyor element of a conveyor. The method includes generating, with a proximity sensor, an output signal indicative of the conveyor element being under-tensioned, receiving the output signal from the proximity sensor, and activating a solenoid-controlled valve to an open state in response to receiving the output signal from the proximity sensor. The method also includes driving, with a pump, a piston of a cylinder while the solenoid-controlled valve is in the open state, pushing, with the cylinder, a take-up bar including a second portion of a ratcheting mechanism to engage with a first portion of the ratcheting mechanism of a locking plate, and imparting, via the locking plate, a locking force on the take-up bar. The method further includes overcoming the locking force and moving the shaft of the conveyor away from a centerline of the conveyor with the take-up bar when the locking force is overcome.

Variable cross-section combine feeder slat
A combine feeder slat having a first base, a second base, and a slat body. The bases are located at respective ends of the slat, and have respective upper and lower surfaces. The slat body extends longitudinally and connects the bases. The slat body has a variable profile as viewed along the longitudinal direction, that transitions from a first profile shape at the first base, to an intermediate profile shape between the first base and the second base, to a second profile shape at the second base. The intermediate profile shape includes a front lip, a rear lip, and an upward-facing concave projection that connects the front lip to the rear lip and extends below an attachment plane defined between the first lower surface and the second lower surface. The first base, second base, and slat body are made from a unitary metal part.
