System, Method, and Apparatus for Acceptance and Delivery of Flat Objects
A plate delivery system provides storage for plates in a first-in, last-out configuration. As the kitchen staff completes a meal (plated), the plate is presented to a staging area of the plate delivery system. The plate is moved into a storage area to be ready for the next plate at the staging area. After a number of plates are stored, the plate delivery system relocates from the kitchen to the eating area (e.g., restaurant table or banquet table) and each plate is sequentially presented by a delivery mechanism (e.g., telescoping arms, a robot, or a waitperson) for delivery to the table. In some embodiments, the plate delivery system is enclosed and has a cover mechanism. In some embodiments, the plate delivery system has telescoping arms with fingers for moving the plate from the staging area to the table.
LINEAR SORTER USING VACUUM BELT
Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate an apparatus for inspecting and sorting a plurality of substrates. The apparatus includes a sorting unit, a first conveyor lane disposed within the sorting unit in a first direction and a first plane, and at least a second conveyor lane disposed within the sorting unit, the second conveyor lane positioned in a second direction at an angle of greater than about 45 degrees relative to the first direction, wherein the second conveyor lane is positioned in a second plane that is different than the first plane.
Conveying apparatus and method
A conveying method includes first and second pads conveying workpieces with speeds of the first and second pads being varied; circumferential velocities of the first pads and the second pads are accelerated by variable speed mechanisms; the first and second pads move and separate in a state in which a distance between the first pad and the second pad, whose speeds were increased, is increased; the circumferential velocities of the first pads and the second pads are decelerated by the variable speed mechanisms; and a first slider and a second slider, which were subjected to deceleration, overlap each other in a part in a circumferential direction, which causes the first pad and the second pad to approach each other, and the first pad and the second pad move and approach each other in this state in which the first pad and the second pad have approached each other.
Feeder Bowl and Preparation System for Packaging Stick-like Objects
A feeder bowl and preparation system for packaging stick-like objects including a feeder bowl, vee shaped spacing conveyor, and a collator mechanism which permits a robotic pick-up station sufficient time to pick and place the stick-like object. The system simplifies programming the transfer of the objects by presenting a desired amount of product for a specific picker and allowing time to pick and place the object, the system eliminates a feed rate by a robotic process in the system, the system allows for essentially higher feed rate overall due to an oriented pick-up area presentation, and the system provides a sanitary design compatible with a transfer of food products in a food industry.
COLLAPSIBLE AND TRANSPORTABLE RACK ASSEMBLY
Presented is a collapsible rack assembly for the transport and storage of substantially flat object(s). The collapsible rack assembly includes a base subassembly, a rotational shaft subassembly, and a rack subassembly. The base subassembly includes an L track system connected to spacers to define the overall shape of the base subassembly. The rotational shaft subassembly includes multiple side rotational shafts, an intermediate rotational shaft, multiple clamps, and a lever clamp. The rack assembly further includes side racks and an intermediate rack. Each of the side racks is fixedly connected to the side rotational shaft. The intermediate rack is fixedly connected to the intermediate rotational shaft. Each of the side racks as well as intermediate rack includes elongated rods spaced from one another to receive the substantially flat objec(s) such as door panels between two consecutive elongated rods.
PLANK POSITIONING MECHANISM
A plank positioning mechanism is adapted to move planks traveling in a traveling direction on a conveyor. The plank positioning mechanism comprises a conveying means traveling parallel to the conveyor; and a plurality of paddle assemblies mounted equidistant to the conveying means perpendicular to the traveling direction. The paddle assemblies comprise a movable part; and a motor adapted to drive the movable part perpendicular to the conveyor, Thereby, the movable part is adapted to thrust the plank perpendicular to its traveling direction as the paddle assembly travel parallel to the board.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DEPOSITING DISCRETE ELEMENTS ON A SUPPORT ELEMENT
A method and apparatus for depositing discrete elements on a support element. The discrete elements may be separated from each other or joined to form a continuous web. The discrete elements are fed into a pick-up station defined at a rotor which includes circumferentially adjacent pick-up members. Each discrete element is associated with a respective pick-up member having a first orientation with respect to a respective second axis of rotation. Each pick-up member is moved along the rotation direction towards a release position downstream with an at least partially accelerated or decelerated motion. Each pick-up member is rotated about the respective second axis of rotation until it takes, at the release position, a second orientation. Each discrete element is released on a support element at the release position. Each pick-up member is subsequently moved towards the pick-up station with an at least partially decelerated or accelerated motion.
Plate advancement mechanism for roofing tool
A plate advancement mechanism is configured to cooperate with a stack of plates consisting of alternating first and second roofing plates with alternately positioned indexing notches along an indexing edge of the plates. An indexer including at least one indexing tab that projects beneath the indexing edge of the plates reciprocates parallel to the indexing edge of the roofing plates between a first feed position and a second feed position. The indexer first feed position aligns the indexing tab with the indexing notch of the first plates and the indexer second feed position aligns said indexing tab with the indexing notch of the second plates. The indexer first feed position and said second feed position are coordinated with shuttle movement to release the lowermost roofing plate from the stack onto the shuttle by aligning the indexing tab (or tabs) with the indexing notch (or notches) of the lowermost plate.
Centering device
A centering device (1) for centering flat workpieces (700-706) comprises a centering station (100) having at least a first and a second gripping device (300, 301) for gripping the workpiece (700-706), and conveying means for conveying workpieces (700-706) in a conveying direction to the centering station (100). The first and the second gripping device (300, 301) can each be moved horizontally by a first and a second guiding device (200, 201), respectively, and the first and the second gripping device (300, 301) can rotate freely about an axis.
Turning station for metal sheets or metal sheet stacks, and method for using the turning station
A turning station for metal sheets or metal sheet stacks, having a first support which forms a first support plane for a first side of the metal sheets, and having a second support which forms a second support plane for a second side of the metal sheets. The supports are rotatable about a horizontal rotation axis and provided with a plurality of detents which project beyond longitudinal edges of the metal sheets. The supports are part of a rotary installation with a frame having two end-side rotary bearings on a common rotation axis and a basket which is mounted in the two rotary bearings for motorized rotation about the rotation axis, the basket having end-side linear guides for the two supports. The supports by way of support planes which extend in parallel and are oriented toward one another are held in the basket such that the rotation axis is situated between the two support planes and the two supports in the end-side linear guides are in each case movable in a motorized manner in a movement direction toward and away from the rotation axis. Methods for unpackaging, storing, and turning metal sheet stacks are also provided.
