Picking facility
A picking facility is realized that can shorten the time required to transfer an article from a first support body to a second support body. Of a plurality of articles 50 supported by the first support body 51, the article 50 located at the highest position and the article 50 whose upper face T1 is present in a range of a set distance D downward from the upper face T1 of the article 50 located at the highest position are set as transfer-target articles 50A, and the control device performs a selection control to preferentially select, from the transfer-target articles 50A, a transfer-target article 50A in the normal orientation SC, and a transfer control to control the transfer device so as to transfer the transfer-target article 50A selected through the selection control from the first support body 51 to the second support body.
BAKERY TRAY STACKER
A stacker includes a base and a vertical structure supported by the base. A lift unit includes a support surface for engaging and lifting a tray from a stack of trays. The lift unit is mounted to the vertical structure and movable vertically relative to the vertical structure. A lifting mechanism selectively raises and lowers the lift unit relative to the vertical structure. The support surface may be formed on first and second projections configured to engage first and second handle openings of a tray. The stacker facilitates several stacking/destacking methods for more easily converting a stack of trays at a first height to a stack of trays at a second height. For example, the first height may be more convenient or appropriate for use in a bakery, while the second height may be more efficient for loading in a truck.
Drink Lid Dispenser Assembly
A drink lid dispenser assembly includes a lid housing which contains a stack of drink container lids. A lid dispenser unit is movably integrated into the lid housing. The lid dispenser unit includes a lid screw which engages a bottommost lid in the stack of drink container lids thereby facilitating the bottommost lid to fall outwardly from the lid housing to deliver the bottommost lid to a user. A straw dispenser is coupled to the lid housing and the straw dispenser contains a stack of drinking straws. The straw dispenser includes a screw engaging a bottommost straw in the stack of drinking straws. The screw in the straw dispenser urges the bottommost straw outwardly from the straw dispenser when the straw dispenser is turned on to deliver the bottommost straw to the user.
Refilling Device for a Stacking Magazine with Metal Sheets
A refilling device on a stacking magazine (2) comprises a refilling magazine (18) which is disposed above the stacking magazine and has a rotatably drivable shaft (10) on each of two sides of the refilling magazine, the shafts together forming a support for a stack (11), and at least one controllably activatable air nozzle, by way of which air can be blown into the refilling magazine in such a way that metal sheets on the bottom side of the stack (11) can be bent by the air supply in the direction of the stacking magazine.
Destacking device and method for destacking metal sheets
In a destacking device comprising a stacking magazine (2), the respective lowest sheet of a stack (1) of metal sheets is destacked by way of a suction element (5, 15). This element can be moved upward and downward by way of a drive (6). At the end of the upward movement, the respective lowest metal sheet (4) of the stack (1) is gripped by suction power and pulled from the stack. A second suction element (5, 15) is provided, which can be moved upward and downward by way of a drive (6) and by way of which the lowest sheet (4) of the stack (1) can be gripped at the end of the upward movement. The second suction element is driven so as to be leading with respect to the first suction element, so that the respective lowest sheet (4) of the stack (1) can first be pulled from the stack by the second suction element (5), and subsequently by the first suction element (5). In this way, it becomes possible to destack thin sheets having a thickness of only 0.12 mm and a square shape without disruption. The stack is held magnetically in the stacking magazine, which facilitates destacking.
System and method for separating workpieces
A system for separating a workpiece from workpieces is provided. The system includes a stocker on which a plurality of workpieces are stored in a stacked state, a holding unit including at least one pair of inverted V-shaped pads that sandwich and clamp both ends of one of the workpieces, and a moving unit that moves at least one of the holding unit and the stocker so as to relatively move the stocker downward with respect to the holding unit, which is in a state where the one of the workpieces is clamped by the at least one pair of pads, and to separate the one of the workpieces from other workpieces.
Method of distributing airport baggage
In order, e.g., to improve distribution of baggage in an airport, a solution comprises positioning two or more empty totes above each other, so that the two or more empty totes are supported by a tote station by support members 206, determining, by a control system, when either a single empty tote should be released from the tote station or two or more empty totes should be released from the tote station together and at once, and in response to the determination releasing single empty totes from the tote station or releasing two or more empty totes on top of each other from the tote station. A lowermost 1604 of the two or more empty totes on top of each other supports one or more empty totes 1606 on top of it and the lowermost empty tote is, when released, supported by a support conveyor 204.
BAKERY TRAY STACKER
A stacker includes a base having a dolly-receiving area into which a dolly can be rolled. A vertical structure extends upward from the base. A pair of arms are pivotable toward and away from one another and toward and away from an area above the dolly-receiving area. The pair of arms are movable vertically relative to the vertical structure and are configured to engage containers supported on a dolly in the dolly-receiving area. In an alternate stacker, the pair of arms may be configured to revolve about an axis generally parallel to the arms and spaced away from the arms. In this manner the arms can dump the contents from a bin engaged by the arms.
