Apparatus and methods for supporting an object
A support apparatus can comprise a cylindrical rod extending along a first rotation axis and comprising a first end portion provided with a first convex spherical segment and a second end portion provided with a second convex spherical segment. A first area can be configured to receive a portion of the first convex spherical segment. A second area can be configured to receive a portion of the second convex spherical segment. The cylindrical rod can be pivotable about a first pivot axis perpendicular to the first rotation axis. In some embodiments, methods of supporting an object can comprise engaging a surface of the object with the outer surface of the cylindrical rod wherein the first cylindrical rod supports a weight of the object while the first cylindrical rod is supported by the first fluid cushion and the second fluid cushion.
Quick-connect fittings for convertible cargo handling assemblies
A quick-connect fitting for a convertible cargo handling assembly may comprise a fixed portion and a coupling component. The fixed portion may be secured to an aircraft frame structure. The coupling component may be coupled to a removable cargo handling component. The coupling component may be configured to rotate relative to the fixed portion.
Flexible and simple turnaround cargo handling assemblies
A convertible cargo handling assembly may comprise a mat, a fitting, and a removable cargo handling component. The fitting may include a fixed component and a coupling component. The fixed component may be located in an opening defined by the mat. The removable cargo handling component may be located over the mat and removably coupled to the fixed portion of the fitting via a coupling between the coupling component and the fixed component.
LUGGAGE LOADING DEVICE FOR MOBILITY AND LUGGAGE LOADING METHOD FOR MOBILITY USING THE SAME
The present disclosure discloses a luggage loading device for mobility capable of improving loading convenience by automating the loading and arrangement of a luggage inside the loading space of the mobility, and a luggage loading method for mobility using the same.
Multi-angle sorter
A multi-angle sorter having an omnidirectionally endless conveyor belt surrounding a polygonal frame to form a belt-frame assembly supported atop a roller drive including multiple pairs of diagonally opposite roller sets. Each pair of roller sets is arranged to drive the belt in a corresponding angular direction. A grid sorter comprises a grid of intersecting conveyor lines composed of multi-angle sorters at the intersections in line with conventional bidirectional conveyors.
MODULAR TRANSFER UNITS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
A modular transfer system with a primary flow system and a diverter system. The primary flow system includes a primary flow belt for conveying an article along a primary flow path from an infeed side of the modular transfer system to a pass-through side of the modular transfer system. The diverter system includes one or more diverter belts for diverting an article from the primary flow path towards a divert side of the modular transfer system. The primary flow belt includes multiple movable components contacting the diverter belt. The movable components can have one or more rotational degrees of freedom.
CONVEYOR SYSTEM AND DRIVE SYSTEM FOR SAME
A conveyor system and drive element for same include a chain including a plurality of links that hinge with respect to each other and a plurality of moving elements such as balls that freely move in the links. A drive element drives the chain in a conveying direction and includes an elongated body with a surface that has a plurality of planar facets arranged around the longitudinal axis of the body. The facets extend along the body and engage respective links of the chain as the body is rotated to drive the chain. Relief elements are located in each facet and are configured for receiving the moving elements of the chain links engaging the facets so the links lie generally flat on the facets when the chain is driven. Other versions of the drive element are faceted for driving a chain with links but without relief elements.
BATTERY TRANSFER DEVICE AND METHOD
A battery transfer device having a base, a plurality of multidirectional rollers coupled to the base, and a winch coupled to the base. Each of the rollers is configured to rotate about at least a first axis and a second axis that is positioned at an angle with respect to the first axis. The winch has a cable or rope configured for coupling to a battery, and the winch is operable to pull the battery across the rollers. Guides may be removably coupled to the base adjacent one or both sides of the base. A method of using the battery transfer device to remove a battery from a battery rack or install a battery in a battery rack.
Cyclic-force brake caster assembly
A brake mechanism for a brake caster is disclosed. In various embodiments, the brake mechanism includes a shaft; a guide plate having a roller; and a slider plate having a first axial facing surface with a slider plate trough and a slider plate peak, the slider plate configured to slide on the shaft in response to the roller interacting with the slider plate trough and the slider plate peak.
