A method for loading a container with packages, using a device having at least one guide. At least one hand element is displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the guide, and is provided on the at least one guide. The hand element has a plurality of finger elements. The finger elements have at least two flexible flank elements extending together from one end of the finger element to the opposing end. The at least two flexible flank elements of the finger elements are flexibly connected together via a plurality of webs. The finger elements may be adjusted from at least one curved position into at least one extended position and back. The at least one hand element takes packages one after the other, and deposits the packages into the container in a stack. The hand element is displaced along the guide between the deposit of two successive packages.

When a first holder and a second holder are positioned at a pair of midway positions, a belt is arranged between the first holder and the second holder breadthways across a work area, and a package is positioned between the belt and a selected one delivery section. The first holder and the second holder come closer to each other when approaching a pair of final positions from the pair of midway positions. The belt is retracted by a retractor into the first holder and the second holder to pull the package in the direction of the selected one delivery section.

A device for separating a conveying member from a support structure includes an elongated member for engaging a portion of the conveying member, and a lever. The elongated member includes a first end and a second end. The lever is coupled to at least one end of the elongated member, and the lever includes a base end and a distal end. The lever is pivotable between a first position in which the elongated member is lowered and a second position in which the elongated member is elevated.

Embodiments herein describe a tote dispenser that removes the bottom tote from as stack of totes which is then ejected by a conveyor belt. In one embodiment, the tote dispenser includes a first pair of support members which support all but the bottom tote in the stack, while a second pair of support members applies a force that removes the bottom tote from the stack. The first and second pairs of support members can be disengaged so that the stack of totes can be realigned relative to the support members so that the next tote at the bottom of the stack can be removed.

A device for separating a conveying member from a support structure includes an elongated member for engaging a portion of the conveying member, and a lever. The elongated member includes a first end and a second end. The lever is coupled to at least one end of the elongated member, and the lever includes a base end and a distal end. The lever is pivotable between a first position in which the elongated member is lowered and a second position in which the elongated member is elevated.

The present invention provides an apparatus for loading material comprising: a housing defining a loading conduit and a return conduit wherein the loading conduit and return conduit are operatively connected at a first location configured for material intake and a second location configured for material output; a loading mechanism operative within the housing, said loading mechanism including an endless belt having a plurality of loading devices anchored thereto, the loading mechanism configured to travel within the loading conduit from the first location to the second location and subsequently within the return conduit from the second location to the first location, said loading mechanism picking up material at the material intake and expelling material at the material output; and a drive system operatively connected with the loading mechanism, the drive system configured to provide power to the loading mechanism.

The present invention provides an apparatus for loading material comprising: a housing defining a loading conduit and a return conduit wherein the loading conduit and return conduit are operatively connected at a first location configured for material intake and a second location configured for material output; a loading mechanism operative within the housing, said loading mechanism including an endless belt having a plurality of loading devices anchored thereto, the loading mechanism configured to travel within the loading conduit from the first location to the second location and subsequently within the return conduit from the second location to the first location, said loading mechanism picking up material at the material intake and expelling material at the material output; and a drive system operatively connected with the loading mechanism, the drive system configured to provide power to the loading mechanism.
