Loading dock signal light change indicator apparatuses including a including light sensors that detect a change from illumination of a red signal light to illumination of a green signal light from a loading dock signal light assembly, and that generate one or more detection signals in response to that detected change. The apparatuses may additionally include one or more transmitters that transmit one or more wireless signals in response to the one or more light sensor signals, and a receiver that receives the one or more wireless signals from the transmitter(s). The apparatuses may further include devices that generate one or more audio, tactile, or visual outputs in response to the receiver receiving the one or more wireless signals, and are separate and distinct from the loading dock signal light assembly.

Delivery system

The invention relates to a delivery system having a delivery goods vehicle for delivering inward goods, and having at least one automated transfer assembly which for transferring the goods in an automated manner from the delivery goods vehicle to a goods store comprises an object detection device. The delivery system moreover has a safety installation for securing a movement range of the transfer assembly when unloading the goods.

Measurement system on a conveyor

A measurement system used in conjunction with a conveyor includes a first sensor with a first transceiver and a second sensor with a second transceiver. The transceivers transmit a first light beam and a second light beam towards a movable portion of the conveyor. A control unit communicably coupled to the first sensor and the second sensor, wherein the control unit calculates a first distance between the first sensor and the movable portion based on the first sensor and a second distance between the second sensor and the movable portion based on the second sensor. The control unit determines a difference value between the first distance and the second distance; and stops the unloader in response to the difference value being above a predefined threshold value.

Dock door automation system and method

A system and method are provided for automated engaging of a truck trailer at a loading dock. Sensors measure a distance and an angle of alignment between the incoming trailer and a wall of the loading dock. An outside lighting system guides a truck driver backing the trailer toward the dock door. A vehicle restraint system fixates the trailer within the loading dock in response to signals from the sensors. An overhead dock door opens once the trailer is successfully fixated by the vehicle restraint system. A dock leveler deploys after the overhead dock door opens. An inside dock light indicates to dock personnel that the trailer is ready to be serviced. Once servicing of the trailer is finished, an automated release of the trailer from the loading dock may be initiated by PLC communication.

Automatic Guided Vehicle System

An automatic guided vehicle system includes an automatic guided vehicle and a docking station for docking with the automatic guided vehicle. One of the automatic guided vehicle and the docking station has a pair of first vertical guide surfaces and the other has a pair of rows of rollers. The first vertical guide surfaces extend a predetermined length along a first horizontal direction and are spaced by a predetermined distance in a second horizontal direction perpendicular to the first horizontal direction. The rows of rollers are in rolling contact with the first vertical guide surfaces to guide the automatic guided vehicle to a predetermined position in the docking station.

Vehicle Leveler with Safety Features

A vehicle leveler includes a first portion which has a leading edge and a trailing edge; the trailing edge is disposed further from the driveway than the leading edge. The vehicle leveler also includes a second portion which has a leading edge and a trailing edge; the leading edge of the second portion is attached to the trailing edge of the first portion and the leading edge of the second portion is disposed further from the driveway than the trailing edge of the second portion. The second portion also includes an extension portion. The vehicle leveler has at least one tension bar connecting the first portion on a proximal end and a lift cylinder on a distal end as well as at least one tension strap. When the vehicle leveler is in an elevated position the tension bar and tension strap keeps the lift cylinder from accidentally shifting.

Host cells and methods for producing isopentenol from mevalonate

The present invention provides for a genetically modified host cell capable of producing isopentenol and/or 3-methyl-3-butenol, comprising (a) an increased expression of phosphomevalonate decarboxylase (PMD) (b) an increased expression of a phosphatase capable of converting isopentenol into 3-methyl-3-butenol, (c) optionally the genetically modified host cell does not express, or has a decreased expression of one or more of NudB, phosphomevalonate kinase (PMK), and/or PMD, and (d) optionally one or more further enzymes capable of converting isopentenol and/or 3-methyl-3-butenol into a third compound, such as isoprene.
