The device incorporates a mobile station with: a first shaft to support a movable reel and to actuate rotation of the movable reel around the first shaft; a grip for gripping and releasing the movable reel from a first side of the movable reel closest to the first shaft; and a transporter to move the movable reel in the direction of the first shaft between the mobile station and a loading position. The process handles one single reel in each change, reducing labor and simplifying logistical management of reels. Likewise, the reels are handled from one single side, the side closest to the first shaft. Therefore, space is freed up on the other side, providing more available space.

The automatic roll replacing device comprises: a mounting frame; an unwinding mechanism, comprising an unwinding shaft connected to the mounting frame in such a manner that the unwinding shaft can rotate around its own axis; a spare material mechanism, comprising a spare material shaft having a contact end and a material pushing member providing an axial pushing force for a spare material roll on the spare material shaft, the spare material shaft being connected to the mounting frame in such a manner that the spare material shaft can rotate around the rotation axis, when the spare material shaft is located at a material pushing position, the contact end contacting the unwinding shaft, and the material pushing member being controlled to push the spare material roll on the spare material shaft to transfer to the unwinding shaft; and a strip connection mechanism, provided on the mounting frame, and used for cutting off a work material strip unwound from the unwinding shaft and connecting the cutoff work material strip to the spare material roll. According to the automatic roll replacing device provided by the present application, the use of the spare material shaft and the material pushing member implements pushing of a spare material roll on the spare material shaft to the unwinding shaft, and there is no need to provide two unwinding mechanisms, thereby greatly simplifying the structure of the automatic roll replacing device, and reducing the occupied space.

The plant has a supply station configured to supply a succession of single rough cardboard sheets in a feeding direction, an application station arranged in the sheet feeding direction and having an application roller configured to unwrap and apply the adhesive plastics film to a rough cardboard sheet so that the adhesive plastics film adheres to each rough cardboard sheet of the succession of rough cardboard sheets to form a succession of coated cardboard sheets and to advance each coated cardboard sheet of the succession of coated cardboard sheets in the feeding direction. A method for laminating cardboard, and in particular corrugated cardboard, using an adhesive plastics film is also provided.

A web material dispenser for housing two or more rolls is provided. The web material dispenser includes a housing having a fixed housing portion provided with a first roll support assembly coupled thereto for supporting a first roll of web material. The housing further has a movable housing portion, movable between a closed position and an open position, provided with a second roll support assembly coupled thereto for supporting a second roll of web material. The fixed and movable housing portions defining a housing chamber therebetween when the movable portion is in the closed position, for at least partially enclosing the two or more rolls of web material within the housing chamber. The movable portion is moved to the open position for providing access to the two or more rolls and allowing replacement of at least one of the first and second rolls.
