Sheet supply device and sheet supply method
A sheet supply device and a sheet supply method include a guide roller disposed at an opposite side of a standby side roll with respect to a tangential line to an outer peripheral surface of the standby side roll at a pressing position in a state in which a pressing roller is pressed against a pressing position, and configured to guide a sheet from the pressing roller in a direction away from the standby side roll. Furthermore, the second guide roller is fixed to a moving unit so as to be configured to approach and move away from the standby side roll together with the pressing roller.
METHOD FOR PACKAGING PRODUCTS AND PACKAGING INSTALLATION
In a method for packaging products, the products are packaged with a packaging material on a packaging line. The packaging material is first of all drawn off a first packaging-material reel and fed to the packaging line. When the first packaging-material reel has been at least partially used up, an initial portion of a second packaging-material reel is made to overlap with a packaging-material portion already drawn off the first packaging-material reel and is joined to the latter packaging-material portion. After the two packaging-material portions have been joined together, the packaging material is drawn off from the second packaging-material reel and fed to the packaging line. The two above-mentioned packaging-material portions are joined together by a stamping operator of a stamping device. There is also described a packaging installation for carrying out the method.
Apparatus and method for combining tobacco sheets
The apparatus for combining tobacco sheets (3, 4) comprises a first shaft for carrying a first bobbin (30) of tobacco sheet (3) and a second shaft for carrying a second bobbin (40) of tobacco sheet (4). The apparatus also comprises a splicing unit (2) for combining an end portion of tobacco sheet from the first bobbin (30) to a head portion of tobacco sheet from the second bobbin. The splicing unit comprises a cutting device (20) for cutting the tobacco sheets such as to provide complementary cuts to the tobacco sheets (3) from the first bobbin and from the second bobbin (4), a dispensing device (23) for dispensing water to at least one of the tobacco sheets (3, 4), and a combining device (24) for applying force onto the tobacco sheets thereby producing a spliced tobacco sheet.

Disclosed is a feedstock device (1) to deliver film (2) to a bundle-wrapping machine and including, on the one hand, at least one reel (3) to receive a roll (4) of the film (2) to be delivered, and, on the other hand, a joining unit (5) to attach the next film (2) to the film (2) that is currently being fed. This device includes a support (6) on which the at least one reel (3) is mounted, with the support (6) being mobile in relation to the joining unit (5) to bring the delivered film (2) to the latter. The splicing device for splicing a trailing edge of a first web material to a leading edge of a second web material includes members defining a feed path of the web material. The device also includes a first cutting member and a second cutting member, cooperating with the first cutting member. One of the two cutting members is provided with a movement transverse to the feed path of the web material, to move the cutting member from an operating position, in which it is in front of the other cutting member, to an idle position, withdrawn with respect to the feed path of the web material.
Bag-making and packaging machine
A bag-making and packaging machine includes a film supply unit that supplies film to a bag-making and packaging unit. The film supply unit has a film roll holding unit that rotatably holds a first film roll, a film temporary placement member on which a vicinity of a leading end portion of a first film wound into the first film roll is manually temporarily placed when attaching the first film roll to the film roll holding unit, a leading end portion detection sensor configured to detect that the leading end portion of the first film is positioned in a prescribed position, and a controller configured to control a rotating mechanism to convey the first film along a predetermined conveyance path until the leading end portion detection sensor detects that the leading end portion of the first film is positioned in the prescribed position.

A controller includes a shaft control unit that controls driving of a shaft drive source such that a standby side roll is rotated, and a unit control unit that presses a pressing roller against an outer peripheral surface of the standby side roll via a sheet of a supply side roll by performing torque control on a unit drive source in a state in which the pressing roller is positioned in an area from a control switching position to the outer peripheral surface of the standby side roll together with performing position control on the unit drive source in a state in which the pressing roller is positioned in an area farther away from the standby side roll than the control switching position away from the outer peripheral surface of the standby side roll by a preset distance while the standby side roll is rotated by the shaft control unit.

The splicing device for splicing a trailing edge of a first web material to a leading edge of a second web material includes members defining a feed path of the web material. The device also includes a first cutting member and a second cutting member, cooperating with the first cutting member. One of the two cutting members is provided with a movement transverse to the feed path of the web material, to move the cutting member from an operating position, in which it is in front of the other cutting member, to an idle position, withdrawn with respect to the feed path of the web material.

A system and method for the splicing transversely wound webs is provided. A web diverter unit includes a web retaining assembly movable between a first position where the web retaining assembly is not in contact with the running web and a second position where the web retaining assembly is in contact with the running web. With the web retaining assembly in the second position, the web retaining assembly temporarily holds the running web being unwound off of the running web material roll at a constant transverse position to enable precise alignment of the running web with the waiting web for splicing therebetween.

A controller includes: an adhesion member position determination unit that determines a position of an adhesion member in a rotation direction of a roll on the basis of the result of detection from an adhesion member detector in a state in which the roll has been rotated by a shaft control unit; and an outer diameter determination unit that determines an outer diameter of the roll in a portion where the adhesion member is positioned, the determination being performed on the basis of the result of detection from an outer diameter detector in a state in which driving of shaft drive sources are controlled by the shaft control unit such that the adhesion member is positioned within a detection range of the outer diameter detector on the basis of the position of the adhesion member determined by the adhesion member position determination unit.
