A disclosed method is a method of manufacturing a battery including a wound electrode assembly in which a first separator, a negative electrode plate, a second separator, and a positive electrode plate are wound together. The method includes steps of winding the first separator, the negative electrode plate, the second separator, and the positive electrode plate onto a winding core, to prepare a wound electrode assembly, and removing the wound electrode assembly from the winding core. The winding core includes a first component and a second component. In the step of removing the wound electrode assembly from the winding core, at least one of the first component and the second component moves in a direction in which a distance between the first component and the second component decrease so that a diameter of the winding core decreases. Thereafter, the wound electrode assembly is removed from the winding core.

Equipment for removing paper from parent reels used for the production of paper logs of paper material, including a support system adapted to support an exhausted parent reel, where the exhausted parent reel includes a tubular core on which residual paper to be removed is wound, and including removal capabilities for removing the residual paper from the core when the exhausted parent reel is placed on the support system. The removal capabilities include a suction cylinder having a horizontal axis onto which the paper is transferred by effect of the contact between the suction cylinder and the exhausted parent reel and by effect of the rotation of the suction cylinder around the horizontal axis.

System for holding sheet material for plotters

The present invention relates to a holding system for holding sheet material for plotters characterized in that it comprises at least one substantially tubular side holding element (1), at least part of the external surface (2) thereof being tapered. Furthermore, said side holding element (1) comprises a longitudinal opening (7) and has internal chamfers at one of its ends (4). As a result of the thickness and the tapering of the external surface thereof, the side holding element hold the sheet material and, simultaneously, ensures that there is a gap between the winder tube and the sheet material wound on said tube, which facilitates its removal from the tube.

COMPRESSED HOLLOW CORELESS RE-FORMABLE ROLL PRODUCTS

A compressed coreless rolled product is described, including an inner surface defining a central cavity having an inner diameter and an outer surface having an outer diameter larger than the inner diameter. The outer diameter is at least five inches and a ratio of the inner diameter to the outer diameter is at least 0.35. Also described is a compressed coreless rolled product with similar inner and outer surfaces, wherein: a difference between the outer diameter and the inner diameter defining a thickness of at least 2.9 inches; and a ratio of the inner diameter to the outer diameter is at least 0.35. An associated method of producing the product is also described, including steps of: winding an absorbent sheet around a forming core member; removing the forming core member to form a coreless rolled product with a diameter ratio of at least 0.35; and compressing the product.
