REEL-TO-REEL SURFACE PRESS APPARATUS
Disclosed in a reel-to-reel surface press apparatus. The reel-to-reel surface press apparatus includes an uncoiler and a recoiler, both transferring a component in a reel-to-reel method, a press disposed between the uncoiler and the recoiler, comprising a press plate pressing the component, and having a plurality of reference holes at an equal pitch along an edge of the press plate, a feeder disposed at the rear of the uncoiler and moving the component, and a controller configured to control the component to be transferred based on at least any one of the plurality of reference holes.
Spreader roll
A spreader roll has a stationary shaft mounted at both ends and running in a curve. A roll shell is supported on the shaft. The construction is simplified in that said roll shell is rotatably mounted, is formed of a flexible material and is supported on the shaft via a lubricating fluid film.
EDGE CONTACT SUBSTRATE TRANSPORT METHOD AND APPARATUS
A web path for conveying a web material includes at least two support rollers contacting a single major surface of the web material, wherein the web material is of indefinite length and has a first and a second edge. A first support roller contacts a first edge region of the web material, and a second support roller contacts a second edge region of the web material such that the web material has a substantial un-contacted region between the first and the second support roller including at least about 50% of the width of the web material. At least one of the first support roller and the second support roller are supported on a bowed shaft such that at least one of the first and second support rollers is angled with respect to the direction of motion of the web.
EXPANDER DEVICE, POROUS FILM PRODUCING APPARATUS, AND POROUS FILM PRODUCING METHOD
To prevent wear powder from adhering to a film, an expander roller (21) is used that extends in the width direction of a porous film (F) and that is configured to apply a tension to the porous film (F) in the width direction, and foreign matter adhering to the expander roller (21) is removed from a portion of the outer peripheral surface of the expander roller (21) at which portion the expander roller (21) is in no contact with the porous film (F).
METHOD OF PRINTING INCLUDING SPREADING A PLASTIC FILM WEB
A method of printing comprising includes spreading and flattening a plastic film web before passing the plastic film web through a first printing unit; and spreading and flattening the plastic film web after the plastic film web exits the first printing unit and before passing the plastic film web through a second printing unit.
Spreader roll
The invention relates to a device, comprising: a spreader roll (2), the spreader roll having a roll tube (3), over which a material web is guided, the bending of the spreader roll (2) about its longitudinal axis allowing the material web to be spread out; and two bearing journals (4), which are operatively connected to the roll tube (3) and are pivotably articulated in a machine frame (1), the bearing journals (4) being mounted on the machine frame (1) by means of pivotable bearings (6) and the bearing journals having longitudinal pins (5) protruding beyond the bearings (6), at the ends of which longitudinal pins radially acting adjustment means (7) are positioned.

Planner Insight for Flatsheet Industries
Planner insight analytics identifies orders and sizes customers can execute to achieve business and operational efficiency. Generating optimal trimming patterns for trimming raw rolls and/or sheets of a flat sheet stock/customer orders includes: (a) receiving customer orders, primary and secondary machine specifications, warehouse inventory, and trade constraints; and (b) generating solutions for (i) order quantity fulfillment, (ii) a primary cutting pattern for the primary machine, (iii) a secondary cutting pattern for the secondary machine, and (iv) inventory details, wherein the solutions are generated with consideration of the initial trade constraints; (c) executing a batch and generating suggestions; (d) generating modified solutions for the parameters in step (b) using revised trade constraints derived from the suggestions generated that override the initial trade constraints in (c); and (e) operating a cutting apparatus. Trim optimization knapsack algorithm with objective function with term relating to trim loss which is eventually minimized is employed.
Bow spreader
A bow spreader bar provides lateral stress on a web of plastic film as it travels past. An elongated arcuate bow member is supported on a rotatable support bar that can be rotated by a first actuator to adjust pitch angle of the bow member relative to the plane of the film. A second actuator mounted on a midportion of the rotatable bar has a rod connected to a center part of the arcuate member and adjusts the amount of bow or arc of the arcuate member. A remote control arrangement has a receiver coupled to the first and second actuators and a remote transmitter permitting an operator to control the pitch angle and amount of bow from a location remote from the film processing equipment.
