An electrode roll connection automation apparatus is configured for uniformly maintaining the width of electrode tabs in a process of connecting electrode sheets to each other and for automatically connecting the electrode sheets to each other. The electrode roll connection automation apparatus includes first and second supply units, a connection unit, and an electrode tab sensing unit. The first and the second supply units are configured to supply first and second electrode sheets, respectively, on which electrode tabs are formed. The connection unit is configured to connect the first electrode sheet and the second electrode sheet to each other. The electrode tab sensing unit is disposed between the first supply unit and the connection unit. The electrode tab sensing unit is configured to measure the distance between the electrode tabs.

A recording apparatus includes a recording unit configured to perform recording on a recording medium that is a long medium, a supporting part disposed opposite to the recording unit and configured to support the recording medium, a cutting part configured to cut the long medium into a single sheet medium, a guide member configured to guide the recording medium, a winding unit configured to wind up the long medium, and a medium housing unit configured to be detachable and house the single sheet medium. The guide member is displaceable to a first supporting position in which the guide member supports the recording medium being conveyed to the medium housing unit and a second supporting position in which the guide member supports the long medium being conveyed to the winding unit, the second supporting position being located above the first supporting position.

An image recording apparatus includes a recording unit, first and second rollers, a guide member, and a cutting unit. The recording unit performs image recording on a sheet conveyed in a conveying direction on a first conveyance path. The first roller is located further downstream than the recording unit in the first conveyance path. The second roller is located further downstream than the first roller in the first conveyance path. The guide member has a guide surface that forms a second conveyance path extending from a connection position of the first conveyance path between the first roller and the second roller. The cutting unit is located between the connection position and the second roller, cuts a sheet, and has a cutter. The guide member changes in posture between a first posture for forming the second conveyance path and a second posture for opening the second conveyance path.

A sheet conveying device includes: a holding mechanism configured to hold suction members; and a driving device including a rotary shaft which is rotatable about a second axis parallel to the first axis and a connecting mechanism configured to connect the rotary shaft and suction members to each other; and a support mechanism configured to support the holding mechanism and the drive device. The connecting mechanism is connected to the suction members in a state where the suction members are movable in a radial direction of the circle about the first axis. The support mechanism supports the holding mechanism and the drive device such that the holding mechanism and the drive device are relatively movable from each other in a direction orthogonal to the first axis.

A feeding unit for feeding a plastic film in packaging machines for wrapping paper rolls, including: a unit for unwinding the film from a reel; a cutting device adapted to cut the film transversely; a transfer device including, on the right and on the left side of the feeding unit, drive belts configured for engaging the upper and lower faces of the film; and a positioning device including, on the right and on the left side of the unit, a predetermined number of drive belts configured for engaging the upper and lower faces of the film. On each side of the feeding unit, the transfer device comprises two pairs of belts. On each side of the feeding unit, the positioning device comprises a third pair of belts. The three pairs of belts are actuated by independent actuators.

A feed device includes: a feed tray configured to accommodate a roll, in which a medium is rolled in a roll shape, rotatably; a housing configured to support the feed tray installable; and a pull-back mechanism configured to pull back the medium unrolled from the roll in a direction orthogonal to a rotation axis of the roll in conjunction with an outward movement of the feed tray from the housing in the direction orthogonal to the rotation axis of the roll.

A recording apparatus includes a recording unit configured to perform recording on a recording medium that is a long medium, a supporting part disposed opposite to the recording unit and configured to support the recording medium, a cutting part configured to cut the long medium into a single sheet medium, a guide member configured to guide the recording medium, a winding unit configured to wind up the long medium, and a medium housing unit configured to be detachable and house the single sheet medium. The connecting mechanism is connected to the suction members in a state where the suction members are movable in a radial direction of the circle about the first axis. The support mechanism supports the holding mechanism and the drive device such that the holding mechanism and the drive device are relatively movable from each other in a direction orthogonal to the first axis.

A recording medium processing apparatus includes: a pressing unit that presses one surface of a transported recording medium against a to-be-pressed section; and a cutting unit that cuts the recording medium pressed against the to-be-pressed section.

A feeding unit for feeding a plastic film in packaging machines for wrapping paper rolls, including: a unit for unwinding the film from a reel; a cutting device adapted to cut the film transversely; a transfer device including, on the right and on the left side of the feeding unit, drive belts configured for engaging the upper and lower faces of the film; and a positioning device including, on the right and on the left side of the unit, a predetermined number of drive belts configured for engaging the upper and lower faces of the film.
