ASSEMBLY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PACKAGING WEB MATERIAL IN A ROLL
Rolling assembly for packaging web material in a roll having a base member with concave arcuate feed surface defining an upwardly-extending ramp, first intermediate member movably coupled to base member, and top member moveably coupled to at least one of base member or first intermediate member, top member having a concave arcuate pressure surface facing feed surface of base member. The base member, first intermediate member and top member collectively forming an iris with a feed space, the iris moveable between a first condition and a second condition, and configured to receive web material along the feed surface and direct the web material upwardly toward the top member to form a roll within the feed space, the iris moving toward a second condition as the roll of web material increases in cross dimension against the pressure surface of the top member.
Wrapping materials for solid objects
Improved object wrapping materials exhibiting a number of beneficial properties to overcome prior deficiencies are provided. Such properties include the inclusion of a separation interface overlay that allows for greater rigidity at the leading and trailing edges of such wraps. Also, the inclusion of shear-reducing wrap material portions is described, as well as recoil reduction structures within the leading edge regions. Furthermore, core adhesive additions allow for greater resiliency to the base wrap material as it unwinds therefrom, reducing potential waste wrap products by permitting greater amounts of wrap materials in use. Other considerations include the ability, through proper configuration designs, to position a wrap separation indicator within a certain range of distances from the trailing edge, thereby providing greater reliability of wrap application device disengagement during wrap application. Such benefits are thus supplied individually and in tandem for improved versatility and utility of such wrap materials.

SHEET BUNDLE TRANSPORT APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD OF SHEET BUNDLE TRANSPORT APPARATUS
Provided is the sheet bundle transport apparatus including: an abutment unit that performs switching between an abutment state at a predetermined position and a non-abutment state; first and second press units that press the sheet bundle against first and second transport units; a press switching unit that performs switching between a first press state where the first and second press units press the sheet bundle in a predetermined region located upstream from the predetermined position in the transport direction and a second press state where the first press unit does not press the sheet bundle in the predetermined region; and a control unit that controls the abutment unit and the press switching unit to switch the non-abutment state to the abutment state and switch the first press state to the second press state so as to change an angle relative to the width direction of a predetermined sheet bundle.
