CROSS-FOLD MODULE FOR A FOLDING MACHINE, AND FOLDING MACHINE EQUIPPED THEREWITH
The cross-fold module for a folding machine comprises a cross-fold knife which is movable in a reciprocating manner in a folding-knife movement direction, and a pair of folding rollers which form a folding roller gap in which a sheet that previously was fed in the feeding direction is creased for folding by the cross-fold knife. A delivery transport device for the folded product receives the folded product in a receiving portion close to an outlet of the folding roller gap and transports the folded product to a delivery portion. At least the cross-fold knife and the pair of folding rollers are adjustable horizontally, perpendicular to the folding-knife movement direction and perpendicular to the feeding direction.
STRIPPING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LAMINATE CONSTRUCTIONS
A movable material web assembly for use in conditioning a material web comprising a substrate layer and a protective layer covering the substrate layer comprising a first web transportation assembly selectively conveying said material web along an axis of movement via a material web roller; and a stripping roller oriented at an angle to said axis of movement, and is selectively engaged to strip away the protective layer as the material web is communicated along the axis of movement; and the stripping roller selectively strips the protective layer in a direction substantially orthogonal to the axis of movement.

Ink jet card printer having a pivotable card feeder
An ink jet card printer includes an ink jet print head, a gantry, and a card feeder. The ink jet print head is configured to perform a print operation on a card supported in a print position along a processing axis. The gantry is configured to move the print head through a print zone. The card feeder includes a feeder frame, a first pinch roller pair, and a lift mechanism. The first pinch roller pair is supported by the feeder frame and is configured to feed individual cards along a card feed axis. The lift mechanism is configured to move the feeder frame and the first pinch roller pair between a lowered position, in which the card feeder is displaced from the print zone, and a raised position, in which at least a portion of the card feeder extends into the print zone.

Post-processing apparatus
A post-processing apparatus includes a storing unit in which plural recording media are stored for performing post-processing, and a pushing member that latches onto and pushes trailing ends of the recording media stored in the storing unit toward an ejection port. When the number of the recording media stacked on the storing unit is small, the pushing member latches onto and pushes the trailing ends of the recording media at a position different from a position at which the pushing member latches onto and pushes the trailing ends of the recording media when the number of the recording media stacked on the storing unit is large.

Inkjet printer with image dryer for improving ink image quality in an aqueous inkjet printer
An inkjet printer has an image dryer that moves printed media sheets vertically through the dryer from an entrance to the image dryer to an exit from the image dryer that is higher than the entrance. The vertical configuration of the image dryer enables the inkjet printer to increase the dwell time of the printed sheets in the image dryer without increasing a footprint of the inkjet printer.
