SHEET STACKER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCORPORATING SAME
A sheet stacker includes a tray to store a stack of sheets, a conveyor above the tray, a leading end guide above the tray, and an air exhaust. The conveyor conveys a sheet in a conveyance direction. The leading end guide is downstream from the conveyor in the conveyance direction. The leading end guide guides the sheet from the conveyor to the tray. The air exhaust exhausts air above an upper surface of the stack of sheets on the tray to an upstream from the tray in the conveyance direction. Further, the leading end guide holds a leading end of the sheet conveyed by the conveyor at a holding position and releases the leading end of the sheet at a release position downstream from the holding position in the conveyance direction.
MEDIA SUPPLYlNG APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A medium supplying apparatus with a detachable rolled medium is provided. In the medium supplying apparatus, the rolled medium is fed to a far side of a setting-and-removing direction of the rolled medium. The medium supplying apparatus includes a plurality of guide members configured to guide the rolled medium when the rolled medium is set. The guide members include at least one contact member which at least partially contacts only a lower outer periphery of the rolled medium and at least one auxiliary member which does not contact the outer periphery of the rolled medium. The contact member and the auxiliary member are connected at a base via the same rotary shaft. The auxiliary member is shorter than the contact member in a medium feeding direction, and is disposed in parallel with the contact member.
SHEET STACKING DEVICE AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A sheet stacking device include a guide unit and a blower. The guide unit receives a downstream end of a sheet in a sheet conveyance direction and guides the sheet downstream in the sheet conveyance direction. The blower blows air toward the sheet guided by the guide unit. A region of the blower from which the air is blown is changeable in response to a size of the sheet.

Moving gate for guiding print media
An example print medium loading device includes a loading unit on which a print medium is loadable, a transporting roller unit to transport a print medium toward the loading unit, and a moving gate between the loading unit and the transporting roller unit. The loading gate moves according to locations to which the print medium is transported. In an example, when a first print medium is loaded on the loading unit and the transporting roller unit transports a second print medium toward the loading unit, the moving gate is positioned at the first location to overlap a trailing end of the first print medium toward the moving gate. When the leading end of the second print medium is past the moving gate and the second print medium is loaded on the loading unit, the moving gate sequentially moves through the first through fourth positions.

Automatic edge positioning and fabric guiding for sewing machines
Apparatus and methods are provided for automatic edge positioning and guiding of a moving web, such as a textile fabric or carpet, onto a conveyor system comprising manufacturing operations such as sewing, for example. More in particular an apparatus is provided including mechanics, optics and control for steering and positioning the side edges of the moving web in order to correct for misalignment, and hence sewing can occur appropriately.
Film transport apparatus, film transport method, and film attachment apparatus
Provided is a film attachment apparatus and a film transport method by which it is easy to switch a film each time, and a film attachment apparatus including the film transport apparatus. The film transport apparatus includes: a film holding unit configured to hold a long-length film; and a film cutting unit configured to cut out the film, in which the film holding unit holds the plurality of films, and the film transport apparatus further includes: a temporary holding unit configured to include a plurality of temporary holding mechanisms that temporally hold the films between the film holding unit and the film cutting unit; and a first transport arm configured to select and pull out one film from the plurality of films which are held in the temporary holding unit.
