The electrode roll connection automation apparatus includes first and second supply units, a connection unit, and an electrode tab sensing unit. The first and the second supply units are configured to supply first and second electrode sheets, respectively, on which electrode tabs are formed. The connection unit is configured to connect the first electrode sheet and the second electrode sheet to each other. The electrode tab sensing unit is disposed between the first supply unit and the connection unit. The electrode tab sensing unit is configured to measure the distance between the electrode tabs.
Automatic splicing device
A control device, that based on number one and number two component presence signals, respectively calculates number one and number two cutting points of number one and number two tapes from predetermined pitch of number one and number two cavities, and number one and number two distances between number one and number two detection positions and number one and number two cutting positions. By this, cutting points can be specified even when tapes have different pitches between cavities, and the tapes can be spliced reliably.
UNWINDER WITH AUTOMATIC SWITCHING OF THE UNWINDING ROLL
Unwinder of a thin ply product wound on a roll, of the type with automatic switching of the unwinding roll with a spare roll, said unwinder comprising—a first roll-holder assembly equipped with a first unwinding rod for a respective roll, on which the roll is adapted to be supported, and which has an axis of rotation transversal to the direction of movement of the ply unwound from the roll, —a second roll-holder assembly equipped with a second unwinding rod for a respective roll, on which the roll is adapted to be supported, said second rod being parallel to said first unwinding rod of the first roll-holder assembly, said second roll-holder assembly facing said first roll-holder assembly in an unwinding zone, wherein of said two roll-holder assemblies, one assembly holds the unwinding roll and the other assembly holds the spare roll to be switched, —a ply splicing assembly placed above said first and second facing roll-holder assemblies, —a ply accumulation unit to allow automatic switching between a roll being unwound in one said roll-holder assembly and a spare roll provided in the other roll-holder assembly, —a transversal position correction system for the side edges of the plies on the rolls present in said roll-holder assemblies.
CONNECTION JIG TAPE
Disclosed is a connection jig tape for splicing end portions of feeding tapes together, the feeding tape comprising accommodating spaces formed to accommodate electronic parts therein, a protection tape disposed on the electronic parts, and a plurality of transfer holes formed at one side thereof, the connection jig comprising: a base tape comprising projections formed to protrude from opposite sides thereof or at least two projections formed to protrude from one side thereof and spaced apart from each other to be inserted in the transfer holes of the respective feeding tapes to be spliced together; and a first splicing tape disposed on the base tape.
Device and method for automatic splicing
A method for splicing a web of packaging material is provided. The method involves guiding a first web of packaging material through an automatic splicing device, determining the position of at least one mark of the first web of packaging material by a detector, moving the first web of packaging material based on the position of the at least one mark of the first web of packaging material such that a specific area of the first web of packaging material is arranged in proximity to a cutting unit, and cutting the first web of packaging material in order to form a separate leading part of the first web of packaging material. The method may also involve introducing a new leading part of a second web of packaging material into the automatic splicing device, determining the position of at least one mark of the second web of packaging material, moving the second web of packaging material based on the position of the at least one mark of the second web of packaging material such that a specific area of the second web of packaging material is arranged in proximity to a sealing arm of the cutting unit, and sealing the separate leading part of the first web of packaging material and the second web of packaging material.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC SPLICING
A method for splicing a web of packaging material is provided. The method comprises: guiding the web of packaging material through an automatic splicing device; determining the position of at least one mark of the material web by means of a detector; moving the material web based on the determined positon such that a specific area of the material web is arranged in proximity to a cutting unit; cutting the material web in order to form a separate leading part of the material web; introducing a new leading part of a separate material web into the automatic splicing device; determining the position of at least one mark of the newly introduced material web; moving the newly introduced material web based on the determined position such that a specific area of the newly introduced material web is arranged in proximity to a sealing arm of the cutting unit; and sealing the separate leading part of the material web and the newly introduced material web.
Methods and Apparatuses for producing a newspaper comprising aligning preprinted images to the operations of a press and modifying the cutoff length of the preprinted images
Systems and methods for aligning preprinted images on a roll of substrate to the moving components of a web press are disclosed. A method in accordance with one embodiment includes determining the speed of the moving components of the press, determining the speed of the web of preprinted images and adjusting the speed of the web of preprinted image to match the speed of the web. In particular embodiments, a press which produces rolls of preprinted material can be modified to change the equivalent cutoff length of the press. In further embodiments, a method of pasting new rolls of material to expiring rolls of material is accomplished by modulating the drive speed of the new roll of material to match the expiring roll of material while at the same time aligning the images on the new roll with the expiring roll.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A WEB-FED PRINTING PRESS
A method for operating webfed printing presses producing printed products, includes providing a reel stand and printing units. A flying web change from first to a second webs takes place with production of a splice, and settings are made on printing units coordinating with passage of the splice through the press. At least two printing units are configured as double printing units for flexographic printing and operated for producing printed products. Each double printing unit includes first and second partial printing units, and first or second partial printing units are activated or deactivated according to passage of the splice through the press, or a switchover occurs from first to second partial printing units of the double printing unit, or vice versa. The flexographic printing press is operable nonstop and automatically during web change. When operating a web-processing rotary printing press for flexographic printing, automation, productivity and print quality increases.
