A sheet conveying device includes an auxiliary tray, a sheet feeding tray, a roller, a driving mechanism, and a pickup roller. The sheet feeding tray is adjacent to the auxiliary tray on a lateral side of the auxiliary tray. The roller is configured to move in a thickness direction of a sheet bundle placed on the auxiliary tray to contact an end of the sheet bundle facing the sheet feeding tray. The pickup roller is configured to pick up a sheet one by one from the sheet bundle transferred to the sheet feeding tray.

An inkjet printing system may include an inkjet printing device, a print media finishing device, and a conditioner selectively coupled within a housing of the print media finishing device and in alignment with a print media exit of the inkjet printing device where the conditioner includes a number of heated pressure rollers to condition the print media prior to introduction into the print media finishing device.
Paper feed apparatus and image forming apparatus
A paper feed apparatus comprises a paper feed section, a separation section, a rotating body and a control device. The paper feed section feeds an image receiving medium that is placed. The separation section is arranged at a downstream side of the paper feed section in a conveyance direction of the image receiving medium. If a plurality of the image receiving media fed from the paper feed section is overlapped, the separation section separates the plurality of the image receiving media that is overlapped. The rotating body is arranged at the upstream side of the separation section in the conveyance direction of the image receiving medium. The rotating body is capable of contacting with the placed image receiving medium. The rotating body is rotatable. The control device carries out control to rotate the rotating body at least before an operation of the paper feed section.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes a recording unit that performs recording on a recording medium, a first transport path through which the recording medium is transported in a first direction during the recording by the recording unit, and a second transport path which is connected to the first transport path at a downstream position of the recording unit in the first direction and through which the recording medium recorded by the recording unit is transported on a path that is different from the first transport path in a second direction that is different from the first direction. A transport distance between a position of the recording unit and a connecting position where the first transport path and the second transport path are connected to each other is configured to be changed.

ELEVATOR WITH DEBOWING MECHANISM
Techniques are described herein for reducing bowing effects on a substrate while the substrate is being transported, for example in an elevator mechanism, from a first travel path to a second travel path, where the first travel path is offset from the second travel path so that the first travel path is not collinear with the second travel path. The substrate can be any substrate that is bowed and for which one wishes to eliminate or reduce the bow. One specific substrate that can benefit from the techniques described herein are personalized documents such as plastic cards including but not limited to financial (e.g. credit and debit) cards, drivers' licenses, national identification cards, gift cards, loyalty cards, employee badges, and other plastic cards which bear personalized data unique to the card holder and/or which bear other card or document information.

Disclosed is a sheet conveying apparatus, including: a conveying member configured to convey a sheet; a plurality of changing portions successively provided downstream of the conveying member in a conveying direction of the sheet, the plurality of changing portions being configured to change the conveying direction of the sheet conveyed by the conveying member by curving the sheet; and a control portion configured to control a conveying speed of the sheet. The control portion controls a conveying speed of the sheet such that V1<V2 where V1 indicates a conveying speed of a sheet conveyed by the conveying member, a leading end of which sheet passes through a specific changing portion among the plurality of changing portions, and V2 indicates a conveying speed of a sheet conveyed without passing through the specific changing portion.
