SHEET SEPARATION DEVICE, SHEET LAMINATOR, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet separation device includes a sheet separator and a conveyor. The sheet separator separates a non-bonding portion of a two-ply sheet in which two sheets are overlapped and bonded together at a bonding portion of the two-ply sheet. The conveyor conveys the two-ply sheet toward the sheet separator while bending the two-ply sheet in a direction that intersects a conveyance direction of the two-ply sheet.
Selectively lifting substrates
Example implementations relate to selectively deflecting substrates. One example implementation includes an apparatus to selectively lift a part of a substrate away from a transfer member when the substrate is advancing in a substrate coating system relative to the transfer member, such that, across a width of the substrate, a first part of the substrate is coated by the transfer member and a second part of the substrate, that is lifted by the apparatus, remains uncoated.
PRINTER APPARATUS
A printer apparatus includes a printer main body having a platen roller and a print head to print on recording paper, a cutter unit configured to cut the recording paper, and a presenter unit connected to the cutter unit, wherein the recording paper on which the print head has printed enters the presenter unit through the cutter unit, and comes out from a discharge slot of the presenter unit, wherein the presenter unit includes a first roller and a second roller configured to convey the recording paper placed therebetween, and a flapper disposed along a transportation path of the recording paper between the cutter unit and both the first roller and the second roller, and configured to be flipped open to an outside of the presenter unit to expose the transportation path, wherein an angle at which the flapper is open is selectively set to one of a plurality of different angles.
METHOD FOR CONVEYING GLASS FILM COMPOSITE
A method of conveying a glass film composite uses a roll-to-roll process for winding a glass film composite wound on a feed roller by a winding roller through a plurality of conveyance rollers. The glass film composite includes an elongated glass film, and linear resin tapes disposed on one side of the glass film along a longitudinal direction of the glass film at both ends in a width direction of the glass film. The method includes a step of conveying the glass film composite from the feed roller to the winding roller through the plurality of conveyance rollers without passing a state in which the glass film composite is bent so that the resin tapes are directed to the inside.
Elevator with debowing mechanism
Techniques are described herein for reducing bowing effects on a substrate while the substrate is being transported, for example in an elevator mechanism, from a first travel path to a second travel path, where the first travel path is offset from the second travel path so that the first travel path is not collinear with the second travel path. The substrate can be any substrate that is bowed and for which one wishes to eliminate or reduce the bow. One specific substrate that can benefit from the techniques described herein are personalized documents such as plastic cards including but not limited to financial (e.g. credit and debit) cards, drivers' licenses, national identification cards, gift cards, loyalty cards, employee badges, and other plastic cards which bear personalized data unique to the card holder and/or which bear other card or document information.
Tape Wrapping Device
A tape wrapping device adapted to wind a tape with an adhesive surface and a back surface on a product includes a seat frame, and a tape conveying mechanism installed on the seat frame and adapted to convey the tape to a standby position. The tape conveying system includes a first conveying drum positioned upstream of the standby position along a conveying direction. An outer contour defining an outer peripheral surface of the first conveying drum has a variable outer diameter along an axial direction and is adapted to convey the tape towards the standby position when its outer peripheral surface is in contact with one of the adhesive surface and the back surface of the tape. A binding mechanism is configured to wrap the tape on the product when the product is bonded to the tape at the standby position.
Post-processing apparatus and image forming system
A post-processing apparatus includes memory and a processor configured to control a curving device that curves a sheet, which is transported to the curving device, by pressing the sheet, control folding processing that is performed on a sheet curved by the curving device, and control, when folding processing is performed such that two ends of a sheet in a transport direction of the sheet face outward in opposite directions after the folding processing has been performed on the sheet, the curving device so as to curve the sheet in plural directions with respect to a transport surface.
Apparatus and method for stabilizing sheets of a hard brittle material
A method and an apparatus for stabilizing the position of a sheet-like element made of hard brittle material during transportation thereof along a transport path is provided in which the element is guided through a roller chicane having three rollers.
