One of a pair of side regulation members for regulating both ends of the sheets stored in the storage part has a floating regulation member for regulating floating of a sheet floated by means of air blowing. The floating regulation member is configured to be turnable in a sheet stacking direction about a rotation axis provided to one of the side regulation members on the side at which the floating regulation member is provided. A load applied to the floating regulation member differs between when the floating regulation member is turned upward and when it is turned downward.

A sheet stop mechanism includes a sheet stopper and a support mechanism. The sheet stopper is formed on a sheet stacking surface. The support mechanism supports the sheet stopper to be rotatable between a stored state and a standing state, wherein in the stored state, the sheet stopper is stored in the sheet stacking surface, and in the standing state, the sheet stopper stands from the sheet stacking surface diagonally upward toward a downstream in the sheet discharge direction. When the sheet stopper is in the standing state, the support mechanism supports the sheet stopper in such a manner that an angle formed between the sheet stopper and the sheet stacking surface becomes small as sheets stacked on the sheet stacking surface increase in number.

The spindle comprises a clutch surface and translates along the dispensing axis, and the biasing unit biases the spindle along the dispensing axis away from the frame. Mounting the keyed end of the roll onto the mount pushes the spindle towards the frame to increase a normal force between the clutch plate and the clutch surface.

A tape head assembly—which tapes flaps of boxes on a conveyor—includes power-assist functionality to stretch a first spring used to power a trailing roller to press tape against a trailing case sidewall of a case. A force by the case moving on the conveyor acting upon a leading roller may provide some of the energy to stretch the first spring. However, a roller-assist air cylinder uses compressed air to assist or fully stretch the first spring. A knife assembly may be used to cut the tape applied to a case. A second spring may be stretched by the force of the moving case acting upon a knife arm. The second spring may be used later operate the knife blade. However, a knife-assist air cylinder uses compressed air to assist or fully stretch the second spring. Both assist assemblies may be turned off to operate the tape head in a conventional manner.
