An object of the invention is to provide a sheet materials separation-aiding apparatus capable of creating a gap between a specific sheet material and a sheet material coming into contact with the lower surface thereof even when the location precision of a stack of laminated sheet materials is low in the height direction of the stack of laminated sheet materials and in the direction orthogonal to the height direction.

An imaging device having a door-actuated feed roll separator mechanism. A pair of opposed panels of a frame of the imaging device are positioned parallel to a media path. A feed roll pair in the media path has a drive roll fixedly and rotatably mounted between the panels and a backup roll mounted to a pair of release assemblies that are slidably mounted to the panels. Biasing members bias the backup roll into contact with the drive roll forming a feed nip. A door pivotally mounted along a bottom end to the frame substantially covers the media path. A pair of tethers connect the pair of release assemblies to the door. A sheet feeder includes a manual feeding tray to stack a sheet, the tray being openable and closable to a main body by rotation about a rotation axis in a direction perpendicular to a sheet feeding direction; a sheet width regulating member provided in the manual feeding tray to regulate a side edge of the sheet in a sheet width direction and to have a variable regulating width; an auxiliary tray that does not move with an opening/closing operation of the manual feeding tray and stacks the sheet with the manual feeding tray; a sheet width regulating member provided in the auxiliary tray to regulate the side edge of the sheet and to have a variable regulating width; a link member interlocking the regulating members; and a feeding roller provided in the main body to individually feed the sheet stacked over the manual feeding tray and the auxiliary tray.
Printing device and ejection control module
A printing device includes a sheet placement plate, an ejection roller module and an ejection control module. The ejection roller module is located near the sheet placement plate to eject at least one paper sheet. The ejection control module is connected with the ejection roller module. The ejection roller module is selectively in a released state or an ejection state under control of the ejection control module. When the ejection roller module is in the released state, the at least one paper sheet is transferred to the sheet placement plate through the ejection roller module. The ejection roller module is in the ejection state, the at least one paper sheet is outputted by the ejection roller module.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a main body housing, an openable/closable part, a sheet feeding tray, an image forming device, a sheet feeding roller, a first coupling, a drive gear, a second coupling, a biasing member, and a link mechanism. The first coupling is provided in the sheet feeding roller. The second coupling is provided coaxially with the drive gear, rotatable following the drive gear, slidable relative to the drive gear in an axial direction and capable of fitting to the first coupling. The biasing member biases the second coupling to the first coupling to connect the second coupling to the first coupling. The link mechanism disconnects the second coupling from the first coupling against a biasing force of the biasing member so as to block a transmission of the drive force with an opening of the openable/closable part.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a main body housing, an openable/closable part, a sheet feeding tray, an image forming device, a sheet feeding roller, a first coupling, a drive gear, a second coupling, a biasing member, and a link mechanism. The first coupling is provided in the sheet feeding roller. The second coupling is provided coaxially with the drive gear, rotatable following the drive gear, slidable relative to the drive gear in an axial direction and capable of fitting to the first coupling. The biasing member biases the second coupling to the first coupling to connect the second coupling to the first coupling. The link mechanism disconnects the second coupling from the first coupling against a biasing force of the biasing member so as to block a transmission of the drive force with an opening of the openable/closable part.
Imaging system including a steering roller tiltable about a fulcrum
An imaging system includes a steering roller and a positioning mechanism. The steering roller extends along a longitudinal direction, and being tiltable about a fulcrum to adjust an alignment position of an endless belt. The positioning mechanism is coupled to the steering roller, to position an adjustable position of the fulcrum of the steering roller, along the longitudinal direction of the steering roller. The positioning mechanism includes a guide that extends along the longitudinal direction of the steering roller, and a protrusion that engages with the guide, and that is located at the adjustable position of the fulcrum.
Belt driving device with steering roller
An imaging system comprises a pair of belt rollers to drive an endless belt along a belt path, the pair of belt rollers comprising a first roller and a second roller. A steering roller is located between the first roller and the second roller. The steering roller is tiltable to engage the endless belt. A wheel is located at an end of the first roller in abutment with an edge of the endless belt, to move along a rotation axis of the first roller, in an outward direction, when the endless belt shifts toward the wheel. A link mechanism transfers a movement of the wheel in the outward direction, to a tilting of the steering roller, in order to urge the endless belt to shift away from the wheel toward the belt path.
PRINTING DEVICE AND EJECTION CONTROL MODULE
A printing device includes a sheet placement plate, an ejection roller module and an ejection control module. The ejection roller module is located near the sheet placement plate to eject at least one paper sheet. The ejection control module is connected with the ejection roller module. The ejection roller module is selectively in a released state or an ejection state under control of the ejection control module. When the ejection roller module is in the released state, the at least one paper sheet is transferred to the sheet placement plate through the ejection roller module. The ejection roller module is in the ejection state, the at least one paper sheet is outputted by the ejection roller module.

A sheet supporting apparatus includes a cassette body supporting a sheet, a regulation device disposed on the cassette body in a moving direction and regulating a position of an edge of the sheet, and a plurality of engaged portions disposed on the cassette body. The regulation device includes a body portion, an engaging portion moving between an engagement position at which the engaging portion engages with one of the engaged portions and a separation position at which the engaging portion is separated from the engaged portions, an operation member pivotably supported on the body portion and operated between a first posture at which the operation member positions the engaging portion at the engagement position and a second posture at which the operation member positions the engaging portion at the separation position, and a retention portion retaining the operation member at the first posture.
