The present invention relates to a device (20) for winding a longitudinally cut material web having multiple longitudinal strips (12) on a plurality of winding tubes (16) to form in each case a wound roll. The device comprises an axle (24) and, mounted on the axle, a plurality of ring-shaped winding drives (22) that are individually controllable in their operating position. Each winding drive (22) forms an external-rotor electric motor and comprises a static interior tube (40) and a rotatable external tube (50). The external tube (50) that is rotatable on the rolling bearings (48) bears, on its interior, a device for providing an excitation magnetic field (52) that forms the external rotor of the electric motor.
PROCESSING APPARATUS
A processing apparatus is disclosed comprising a shearing unit that receives the material to be processed from a conveying device upstream and surrenders it to a conveying device downstream, in which the material to be sheared advances with a continuous supply motion, in which each conveying device comprises a variable geometry closed loop slidable flexible element, in which the shearing unit is constrained to move with alternating motion together with two movable portions of the two conveying devices. The apparatus can process web-shaped material for the production of electrical energy storage devices.
Method for loading a web; apparatus for handling a web
In wide format web printing the loading of a new web medium is a cumbersome process, requiring the operator to raise a very wide flexible web from the supply roll up to the print surface. The present invention provides a simple apparatus to aid in the manual loading process. The web transport assembly of the apparatus comprises a supply unit arranged for supplying the web from a media roll to a transport path and a pick-up device comprising a pick-up surface and a holding mechanism configured for releasably holding a leading edge section of the web onto the pick-up surface, wherein the pick-up device is moveable between a first position near the supply unit for attaching the leading edge section and a second position near the print surface. The leading edge section is moved upwards towards the print surface while held by the holding mechanism.

Provided are an image forming apparatus and an image forming method capable of coping with a medium exceeding a transport limit of a pair of rollers in image formation in which the medium is transported with the medium interposed between the pair of rollers. In a case where a medium exceeding a transport limit of first transport means to which medium transport using a first roller and a second roller is applied is used, second transport means is used to assist in the medium transport performed by the first transport means. The driving of second driving means for driving the second transport means is controlled using a driving signal applied to the driving control of the first driving means for driving the first transport means. Medium transport in which synchronization is taken between the first transport means and the second transport means is realized.

Apparatuses include, among other components, a pair of opposing drive rollers, a pair of opposing idle rollers, and a rotatable support operatively connected to the axles of the idle rollers. A web transport assembly is provided for transporting a web along a processing unit for processing the web, the web transport assembly comprising: a transport device arranged for moving the web in a transport direction through a transport path along the processing unit, the transport device being arranged downstream of the processing unit relative to the transport direction; and a friction-based tensioning device arranged upstream of the processing unit relative to the transport direction; wherein the friction-based tensioning device comprises a guiding surface for guiding the web towards the processing unit and a plurality of suction holes distributed over the guiding surface for providing a suction force to a contact side of the web, the plurality of suction holes being arranged in fluid communication to a suction source, which generates the suction force, wherein the guiding surface is configured to exert a friction force on the web in response to the suction force provided to the contact side of the web; and wherein the friction-based tensioning device is configured for controlling a tension of the web between the guiding surface and the transport device.
