Sheet discharge apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet discharge apparatus includes a discharge and sheet support unit, a detection unit, a rotation member having a first abutting portion positioned above the sheet support unit, and a pressing member provided rotatably independent of the rotation member. The discharge unit nips and discharges a sheet in a sheet discharge direction. The sheet support unit supports the discharged sheet. The rotation member rotates when the first abutting portion is pressed by the sheet. The detection unit detects a position of the rotation member. A second abutting portion of the pressing member abuts against the sheet at a position downstream from a position at which the discharge unit nips the sheet and upstream from the first abutting portion in the sheet discharge direction. The pressing member presses the sheet discharged from the discharge unit downward using the second abutting portion, regardless of a position of the rotation member.
Corrugated edge nip
A web tensioner, a web slitter, a method of tensioning a web, and a method of slitting a web are provided. A corrugated edge nip is used in the tensioner, the slitter, and the methods of tensioning and slitting. The corrugated edge nip can provide a crossweb tension to a suspended web or film in a web line. The corrugated edge nip can be used in conjunction with, for example, a rotary shear slitter to improve slit edge quality.
Separation roller, sheet feeding apparatus, and image forming apparatus
A separation roller for a sheet feeding apparatus includes an outer circumferential portion formed from an elastic material, a core portion to which the outer circumferential portion is attached; and a flange portion including a plurality of projecting portions each projecting to an outside in a radial direction with respect to the core portion. At least one of the plurality of projecting portions includes a first surface provided on a side portion thereof on an upstream side in a first direction in which the separation roller rotates in such a manner as to follow the rotary feeding member rotating to feed the sheet. The first surface extends more upstream in the first direction at a position further on an outside in a radial direction with respect to a rotation axis of the separation roller as viewed in the axial direction.
Roll
Provided are a roll, a film forming apparatus, and a film forming method. The present invention provides a roll used in an apparatus which may transfer a substrate, e.g., a flexible substrate such as a plastic film and a fibrous or metallic web or film and may form a film on a surface of the substrate, a film forming apparatus including the roll, and a film forming method using the film forming apparatus.
Recording-medium ejecting device and image forming apparatus
A recording-medium ejecting device includes a first rotating member that rotates and a second rotating member that faces the first rotating member and that is rotated by rotation of the first rotating member. At least one of the first rotating member or the second rotating member is provided with projections and recesses at both ends thereof. The projections and recesses are alternately arranged in a circumferential direction. The projections extend continuously from a rotating member body in an axial direction and have a diameter greater than that of the rotating member body. The recesses extend continuously from the rotating member body in the axial direction and have a diameter smaller than that of the rotating member body. The projections at one end of the rotating member body and the projections at the other end of the rotating member body are at the same positions in a circumferential direction.
Sheet conveying device
A sheet conveying device including a conveying section configured to convey a sheet in a predetermined conveying direction, a discharge section configured to discharge the sheet onto a stacking surface and configured to support the sheet, which is discharged by the discharge section, from below, a first contact portion provided on the stacking surface at a middle portion of the stacking surface in a width direction orthogonal to the conveying direction; a second contact portion provided on the stacking surface at one side with respect to the first contact portion in the width direction; and a third contact portion provided on the stacking surface at an other side with respect to the first contact portion in the width direction.
