Sheet post-processing apparatus
According to one embodiment, a sheet post-processing apparatus includes a guide member, a matching member, a post-processing mechanism, a support member, and a drive unit. The guide member has a loading surface on which a sheet is loaded in a standing state. The matching member supports a lower end of the sheet loaded on the guide member in a free raising and lowering manner. The post-processing mechanism performs post-processing on the sheet. The support member supports the matching member. The drive unit raises and lowers the support member. The matching member is configured to be raised and lowered with respect to the support member.
Systems, devices and methods for receiving an item
Systems, devices and methods for receiving an item in a receptacle are disclosed. Features are disclosed for receiving and guiding an item in a receiving space of a receptacle so as to attenuate or remove the impact force of the item on the receptacle. Some embodiments of the disclosure include a bumper having an impact surface which absorbs most or all of the impact force of the item and thereby mitigates or removes the imposition of cyclic impact loads on the receptacle from repeated receipt of items. The bumper may be structurally and/or functionally de-coupled or otherwise physically separated from the receptacle such that an advantageous division of labor is created between absorbing the impact and receiving the item. This disclosure may be useful, for example, in modern industrial operations where a high volume of items are received daily, such as in mail sorting and handling operations.
Image forming apparatus including a housing used as paper output tray
An image forming apparatus includes a housing in which an image forming section is contained and a paper output section into which a sheet of paper on which an image has been formed is ejected. The paper output section includes a paper output tray that supports the front side or back side of the sheet of paper, a back-end supporting member that supports a back end of the sheet of paper in a paper ejection direction, and a paper takeout slot through which the sheet of paper is taken out. The paper output section is provided at the outer edge of the interior of the housing. The housing has an external wall whose inner face side is used as the paper output tray. The paper takeout slot opens upward.

Post-processing apparatus and image forming system
A post-processing apparatus configured to collect printed sheets ejected from an image forming apparatus and to handle the printed sheets. The post-processing apparatus has: a stacker configured to collect and stack a plurality of printed sheets with one end of each of the printed sheets placed down; a movable stopper configured to stop each of the printed sheets sliding down in the stacker at a specified position; a motor configured to move the stopper along the stacker and stops the stopper; and a control unit configured to control the motor. The control unit increases a current supplied to the motor in preparation for a collision between each of the printed sheets and the stopper.
