Paper conveyance device, and printer
A paper compartment in which roll paper can be held has an opening positioned along the second axial end of the roll paper and a wall positioned along the first axial end of the roll paper in the axial direction. The paper loading member can be removably installed in the paper compartment through the opening. The paper loading member has a flange and a roll support member that projects from the flange and is inserted into the paper. When roll paper is held in the paper compartment, the paper loading member is installed in the paper compartment with a first side of the flange contacting the first axial end of the paper, and the roll support member is inserted into the roll paper. When the paper loading member is installed in the paper compartment, the first side of the flange faces the opening.
CORE INSERT AND HAND TOOL FOR DISPENSING MATERIAL WOUND ON A CORE
A core insert (103) for insertion into a core (700) of a roll (500, 600) of material and a hand tool using the core insert for applying the material to a surface (1100). The insert (103) includes a gripper sleeve bearing (7) rotatably connected to a spindle hub (101) attached to an axle shaft (1). The bearing (7) has tapered axial splines (104) extending away from center of the bearing (7) configured to grip the inner surface of the core (700). The hand tool includes the core insert (103) and an axle shaft (1), a handle shaft (2) and a shaft connector (9). The axle shaft (1) is insertable into the core (700) with the bearing (7) inserted into the (700) core to releasably and frictionally engage the core (700) so that the roll (500, 600) is rotatable about the axle shaft (1) along with the bearing (7).

PAPER CONVEYING DEVICE
A paper conveying device includes a support shaft configured to pivotally support a roll of paper having a center measured in a width direction, a guide movable in the width direction of the roll based on a size of the roll and configured to position the center of the roll in a reference position, and a sensor coupled to the guide and configured to detect that the roll contains less than a threshold amount of paper based on a diameter of the roll.
The axle shaft (1) is insertable into the core (700) with the bearing (7) inserted into the (700) core to releasably and frictionally engage the core (700) so that the roll (500, 600) is rotatable about the axle shaft (1) along with the bearing (7).
RIBBON TAKE-UP HUB FOR A PRINTER
A ribbon take-up hub for a printer is disclosed. The ribbon take-up hub comprises a centre hub configured to be coupled to a rotatable component of the printer. The centre hub comprising a button. Further, one or more arc shaped blocks are positioned in proximity to the centre hub, and a plurality of tension holders are attached to the centre hub. Further, upon pressing of the button, the plurality of tension holders retracts inside the centre hub to facilitate placement and winding of a ribbon between the plurality of tension holders and the one or more arc shaped blocks. Further, upon releasing the button, the plurality of tension holders extends from the centre hub to clamp the winded ribbon between the plurality of tension holders and the one or more arc shaped blocks.
