BUNDLE-WRAPPING FEEDSTOCK
Disclosed is a feedstock device (1) to deliver film (2) to a bundle-wrapping machine and including, on the one hand, at least one reel (3) to receive a roll (4) of the film (2) to be delivered, and, on the other hand, a joining unit (5) to attach the next film (2) to the film (2) that is currently being fed. This device includes a support (6) on which the at least one reel (3) is mounted, with the support (6) being mobile in relation to the joining unit (5) to bring the delivered film (2) to the latter. The invention also has as its object a machine and a corresponding method.
Disposable product assembly systems and methods
A machine for producing disposable products anticipates when a current run of a product size is coming to an end, and therefore begins loading of material rolls intended for the next product size or code that will be run. An integrated production facility layout automatically orders and stocks raw material based on production plans, and commands a production machine to produce specific products of differing configurations, and automatically loads appropriately sized raw materials into the process.
DISPOSABLE PRODUCT ASSEMBLY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A web unwinding and splicing system includes a turret unwind having a turret arm with rotatable shafts at opposing ends thereof to unwind a running web of an expiring web material roll and unwind a waiting web of a new web material roll. A web splicing unit operable with the turret unwind includes a web deflection device that bumps the running web onto the waiting web to splice the running web with the waiting web and a cutting device that selectively severs the running web, thereby creating a leading portion of the running web that is spliced to the waiting web and a trailing portion of the running web that remains separate from the waiting web. A vacuum system is positioned proximate the running web to suction in the trailing portion of the running web left on the expiring web material roll.

PLANT AND PROCESS FOR HANDLING CARDBOARD REELS
System for handling cardboard reels to feed machines that produce cardboard tubes, comprising a station (F) for picking up the reels configured to receive a stack (2) of overlapping cardboard reels (1), a station (U) for unwinding of the reels, and handling means (D) for moving the reels (1) along a predetermined path. The means (D) for moving the reels comprise pneumatic means intended to pressurize a space (S) inside the stack of reels, in which said space includes the interface between an uppermost reel of the stack and the underlying reel, and gripping means configured and controlled to perform grip and release of the highest reel in the stack respectively.
