A first shaft control section is configured to control rotation of a first support shaft supporting a first roll such that a sheet is unwound from the first roll at a predetermined running speed. A second shaft control section is configured to execute a first rotation control of regulating a rotational speed of a second support shaft supporting a second roll such that a peripheral speed of the second roll coincides with the predetermined running speed of the sheet of the first roll. The second shaft control section is configured to regulate the rotational speed of the second support shaft by acceleration or deceleration such that an adhesive on an outer peripheral surface of the second roll arrives at a pressing position when a target joining portion of the sheet of the first roll meets the pressing position.

In storage amount adjustment control, the shaft control unit (922) accelerates the rotation speed of the first support shaft (31) to increase the peripheral speed of the first roll (R1) higher than the conveyance speed, until the sheet storage amount in the storage mechanism (5) reaches a predetermined second storage amount that is larger than the first storage amount. A calculation unit (911) calculates an outer diameter of the first roll (R1) based on the conveyance speed when the steady control is performed, and calculates the outer diameter of the first roll (R1) based on the sheet thickness calculated from a decrease amount of the outer diameter of the first roll (R1) in the steady control when the storage amount adjustment control is performed.

A second shaft control section executes an adjustive control of adjusting at least one of a rotation start time and a rotational acceleration of the second support shaft so that, when a first joining target mark on the sheet of the first roll moves to a first reference position, a second joining target mark on an outer peripheral surface of the second roll arrives at a second reference position in a rotational direction thereof, and a peripheral speed of the second roll coincides with the running speed of the sheet of the first roll.

A method of estimating a volume of a remaining fluidum in a non-translucent recipient having an opening which area is wider than or equal to the area of a bottom of the recipient. The method includes taking a picture of the opening at the top side of the recipient by with camera, deriving from the picture characteristics of a first and second number of pixels representing a visible part of the recipient and a visible part of the fluidum in the recipient, respectively, requesting from a user an identification of the recipient, matching the identification with a stored identification in order to retrieve reference data about an empty recipient, and estimating a volume of the remaining fluidum in the recipient by means of the retrieved reference data and a ratio of the characteristics of the first number of pixels and the characteristics of the second number of pixels.
