The present invention relates generally to increase the stability and efficiency of a tape dispenser ergonomically during the taping process. This is accomplished by shifting the center of gravity toward the front end of the tape dispenser, right at the location of main roller. This can be accomplished by placing the electric motor and gear component inside the main roller of the tape dispenser. The operations of the tape dispenser such as taping and cutting process are controlled by the rotation direction of the motor, and the interaction of components with the one-way bearing. The powered cutter is driven by the electric motor and gear component inside the main roller, which will reduce the production cost of the tape dispenser by utilizing the same motor and save space by eliminating the need of additional motor and gear component.

A smart toilet paper dispenser comprises a powered paper dispenser, an enclosure, a plurality of drawers, and a top surface. The smart toilet paper dispenser receives user input and in response dispenses a predetermined amount of paper. The user input is motion detected by a motion sensor, a voice command detected by a microphone, or touch detected by a push button. An image forming apparatus includes a sheet feed cassette. The sheet feed cassette has a cylinder lock having a cylinder, and a turning unit coupled to the cylinder to be rotatable integrally with the cylinder. A switch switching part of the turning unit is configured to switch a power switch such that the power switch is in an ON state when an inner cylinder of the cylinder lock is at an unlocked position, and the power switch is in an OFF state when the inner cylinder is at a locked position. A cassette locking part of the turning unit is configured to place a sheet feed cassette of a standard sheet feeder in an unlocked state when the inner cylinder of the cylinder lock is at the unlocked position and place the sheet feed cassette in a locked state when the inner cylinder is at the locked position.

The controller determines a length of the document in the transport direction, on a basis of a time point that the leading edge detector has detected the leading edge of the document, a time point that the trailing edge detector has detected the trailing edge of the document, and a time point that a detection status of the multi feed detector has been switched to a non-detection state, and guides the document to the curved transport route or the linear transport route from the common transport route, according to the length of the document, by controlling the switching device.
