A sheet conveyor is provided for transporting a sheet. The sheet conveyor includes a supplying conveyor, a receiving conveyor and a sheet guidance unit. The receiving conveyor includes a support surface arranged for supporting the sheet on a contact side of the sheet and an attraction unit arranged for attracting the sheet to the support surface. The supplying conveyor includes a transport belt being arranged for advancing the sheet in a transport direction along a transport path towards the support surface of the receiving conveyor; the sheet having two side edge portions relative to the transport path. The sheet guidance unit is arranged at a downstream end of the transport path for guiding the sheet towards the receiving conveyor, wherein said sheet guidance unit includes a lifting element arranged for lifting both side edge portions of the sheet away from the support surface while a middle portion of the sheet in between both side edge portions is guided towards the support surface.

A web path for conveying a web material includes at least two support rollers contacting a single major surface of the web material, wherein the web material is of indefinite length and has a first and a second edge. A first support roller contacts a first edge region of the web material, and a second support roller contacts a second edge region of the web material such that the web material has a substantial un-contacted region between the first and the second support roller including at least about 50% of the width of the web material. At least one of the first support roller and the second support roller are supported on a bowed shaft such that at least one of the first and second support rollers is angled with respect to the direction of motion of the web.

A liquid ejecting device includes a transporting belt configured to transport a medium, a head configured to eject a liquid onto the medium, a first gripping portion configured to grip the first end portion of the transporting belt, and move in the transport direction, and a second gripping portion configured to grip the second end portion of the transporting belt, and move in the transport direction. When the head is positioned outside the transporting belt with respect to the second end portion, the first gripping portion performs a first operation of gripping the transporting belt and moving to a predetermined position, and releasing the gripped transporting belt. When the head is positioned outside the transporting belt with respect to the first end portion, the second gripping portion performs a second operation of gripping the transporting belt and moving to a predetermined position, and releasing the gripped transporting belt.
Sheet gripping mechanism and printer
A sheet gripping mechanism includes a first sheet guide including a guide surface facing a sheet conveyance path along which a sheet is to be conveyed and a second sheet guide which faces the first sheet guide across the sheet conveyance path. The second sheet guide includes a protuberance extending toward the first sheet guide, to locations beyond the guide surface formed by the first sheet guide. When a sheet is located between the first sheet guide and the protuberance of the second sheet guide, the protuberance extends at least a portion of the sheet toward the first sheet guide to bring a part of a surface of the sheet into contact with the first sheet guide.
FILM WRINKLE REMOVING ROLLER
The present invention relates to a film wrinkle removing roller in which pattern rolls coated with rubber are positioned at both ends of a cylindrical roll made of Teflon, and a porous film comes into contact with the roll and the pattern rolls, such that the film may be prevented from wrinkling and a surface of the film may be prevented from being abraded due to friction between the film and surfaces of the rolls.

A liquid ejecting device includes a transporting belt configured to transport a medium, a head configured to eject a liquid onto the medium, a first gripping portion configured to grip the first end portion of the transporting belt, and move in the transport direction, and a second gripping portion configured to grip the second end portion of the transporting belt, and move in the transport direction. When the head is positioned outside the transporting belt with respect to the second end portion, the first gripping portion performs a first operation of gripping the transporting belt and moving to a predetermined position, and releasing the gripped transporting belt. When the head is positioned outside the transporting belt with respect to the first end portion, the second gripping portion performs a second operation of gripping the transporting belt and moving to a predetermined position, and releasing the gripped transporting belt.
Media guides
An example system includes an advancement mechanism to drive print media into a stacking region, a movable media guide arrangement and a controller. The movable media guide arrangement includes a pair of opposing media guides to receive opposing edges of a print medium therein and a translation mechanism to move the opposing media guides between at least two positions, the at least two positions including a deployed position and a retracted position. The controller is to actuate the translation mechanism to move the opposing media guides into the deployed position when the advancement mechanism transports a print medium into the stacking region and to actuate the translation mechanism to move the opposing media guides to the retracted position to release the print medium.
