Accommodating Device and Image Forming Apparatus
Provided are an accommodating device that performs appropriate processing in order to discard an empty paper pack remaining in the accommodating device and an image forming apparatus including the accommodating device. The accommodating device includes an accommodating unit, a processing unit, and a discarding unit. The accommodating unit accommodates a paper pack including a bundle of stacked sheets of printer paper wrapped with wrapping paper in such a manner that the printer paper is freely taken out. The processing unit flatly crushes and conveys an empty paper pack from which all of the sheets of the printer paper have been taken out and in which only the wrapping paper has remained. The discarding unit stores a flatly crashed empty paper pack conveyed from the processing unit in order to discard them.
Image forming apparatus and guidance method for paper feeding work
An image forming apparatus of embodiments includes an accommodation unit and a notification unit. The accommodation unit accommodates both of a paper bundle and a packaging member therein in a state in which at least one of the paper bundle and the packaging member used to package the paper bundle satisfies predetermined conditions. The notification unit performs a notification of guidance on the predetermined conditions.
Systems and methods for folding a stack of substrate sheets
Systems and methods for folding a stack of substrate sheets are provided. The system may include a roller assembly and a positioning mechanism. The roller assembly is configured for folding the stack of substrate sheets and the positioning mechanism is configured to position the substrate or stack for entry into the roller assembly. The positioning mechanism includes an upper curved form and a lower curved form to guide the stack of substrate sheets into a curved position for folding. The positioning mechanism further includes a folding blade positioned to extend through the gap between the upper and lower curved forms. The roller assembly can move the folded stack of substrate sheets in at least two directions.

Conveyor System with Adjustable Flight Intervals
A conveyor system for moving stacked webs of material has a first unit with at least three belts. Each belt is driven by a motor having a drive shaft with a pulley. The drive shaft of one motor is spaced from the drive shaft of another motor to define a routing along which the belts travel in parallel paths and are independently movable. Each belt has at least two product supports. A second unit is opposite of the first unit and forms a process zone with the first unit. In the process zone, the product support of one of the belts of the first unit engages one side of the stacked web material, and the second unit engages an opposite side of the stacked web material. The product supports move in a synchronized manner from an inlet to an outlet of the process zone at an adjustable interval.
