Kite system and method for operating a kite system
A kite system having a kite (14) and a hauling rope (15) which extends between the kite (14) and a tow point (16). A marking holder (25) is disposed between the tow point (16) and the kite (14). The marking holder (25) is conceived for changing between an entrained state in relation to the hauling rope (15), and a free-running state in relation to the hauling rope (15). A fitting installation (31) initiates a changeover between the entrained state and the free-running state of the marking holder (25). The invention moreover relates to a method for operating a kite system.
Bar for controlling a kite
A bar for controlling a kite comprises a trimming unit for the control lines (back line trimming unit). A length of the control lines can be adjusted by the trimming unit. The trimming unit is mounted in or on the bar and can be adjusted by means of a motor, preferably an electric motor.
WINDING DEVICE FOR A STUNT KITE, PARAGLIDER OR PARACHUTE
The invention relates to a winding device (30) for winding up and unwinding lines (50) of a stunt kite, paraglider or parachute (60) with at least three reels (11) for receiving at least one line (50) of the stunt kite, paraglider or parachute (60). According to the invention, at least two reels (11) have their own reel drive (14) for winding up and unwinding the line (50) taken up on the reel (11).
Kite line reeling device
This invention concerns a line reeling device for reeling front and back lines of a kite. The device includes a reeling mechanism comprising a first reel and a second reel which are located in an enclosure and on which the front and back lines are, in use, wound respectively. The reels are arranged so that their rotation in one direction retracts the lines and their rotation in the other direction deploys the lines. The reeling mechanism further includes reel connecting means which is operable to cause the reels to rotate in harmony in one configuration and rotate independently in another configuration. The reeling mechanism also has a braking mechanism for controlling rotation of the reels and a control mechanism which is in connection with the braking mechanism. The control mechanism is operable between a first, locked position wherein rotation of the reels is obstructed and a second, released position wherein rotation of the reels is allowed.
Paracord dispenser and associated methods
A cord dispenser includes a body having a body outer wall and an inner chamber. The inner chamber is operable to contain a length of cord, the cord having a first cord end. A retaining mechanism is rigidly affixed to the body outer wall of the dispenser. The retaining mechanism is sized to removably secure a light source. A first through-hole is disposed in the body through which the first cord end is operable to be extended and to be securely attached to the light source.

A first through-hole is disposed in the body through which the first cord end is operable to be extended and to be securely attached to the light source.
Parachord dispenser and associated methods
A backstacked paracord dispenser, comprising a body a lid and a backstacked length of paracord disposed therein. The body has a closed bottom and a first sidewall integrally connected to the bottom. The lid has a closed top with a through-hole disposed therethrough and a second sidewall integrally connected to the top. The second sidewall is sized to securely fit to the body. The length of paracord is disposed in the body and has one end extended through the through-hole. The paracord was backstacked into the body.
