Substrate handling system comprising a robot cell and method for operating the same
A substrate handling system including an infeed system for feeding stacked substrates and including a processing machine for processing stacked substrates, and in particular a printing press for printing stacked substrates. A robot cell is provided between the infeed system and the processing machine. The robot cell comprises one or two gripper systems, each for handling a plurality of substrates. The robot cell is configured in such a way, that selectively differently stacked substrates, which are feedable by the infeed system, can be handled.

Method for producing collectible cards
Methods and systems of producing collectible cards are disclosed. An example method includes producing a first stack of cards including a first card type and a second card type from a single substrate sheet, separating the first stack of cards into a first sub-stack and a second sub-stack. The first sub-stack includes the first card type and the second sub-stack includes the second card type. The example method includes comparing a first top card of the first sub-stack to a first reference card and, based on the first top card being substantially similar to the first reference card, automatically transferring the first sub-stack to a first tray designated to receive the first card type.

System for assembling cards in trays
A system for assembling cards in trays includes a pack stacker that stacks cards, a pack separator, a tray for receiving cards, and a processor. The processor is programmed to determine a number of cards in the tray, operate the pack stacker to assemble a plurality of cards into a stack, determine whether the plurality of cards can be accommodated in the tray together with the number of cards and, if so, transfer the stack to the tray. The processor is also programmed to operate the pack separator to separate the stack of cards into a sub-stack if the processor determines that the plurality of cards cannot be accommodated in the tray together with the number of cards wherein the sub-stack has less than the plurality of cards and transfer the sub-stack to the tray.

Carton stack divider and method for dividing a stack
A divider for dividing a pack of flat-folded cartons into a plurality of stacks of flat-folded cartons, the divider comprising a magazine adapted to hold the carton pack, where the magazine includes a stop member, and where the divider includes a pusher member and a holder foot, where the magazine is arranged in an inclined position, where the pusher member is adapted to compress the carton pack between the pusher member and the stop member, where the holder foot is adapted to bear on the upper side of the compressed carton pack, and where the pusher member is adapted to release the pressure on the carton pack when the holder foot bears on the upper side of the carton pack, thereby creating a low density area adjacent a first carton stack.
