A flange for use on a reel, a flange adapter, and a flange stand are provided. The flange may include an outer circumference, a hub assembly, and an arbor hole adapter that is adapted to engage an arbor hole to secure the flange to the reel. The arbor hole adapter may include an expandable portion that is movable between an extended position and a retracted position. First and second expansion plates may be coupled to the arbor hole adapter and connected by shoulder bolts that guide movement of the plates between an abutting configuration and a spaced-apart configuration, allowing movement of the expandable portion relative to the reel for modified engagement. The flange stand may include a base, a support portion, and a coupler for engaging a central extension of the flange to allow the flange to be supported in an upright position.

A reel support apparatus (100) for supporting a pipeline storage reel (102) on a vessel (104) is disclosed. A method for supporting a pipeline storage reel (102) on a vessel (104) using the reel support apparatus (100) is also disclosed. The reel support apparatus (100) comprises a hub body (112) for locating within a hollow central bore (140) of a pipeline storage reel (102) and a plurality of discrete roller elements (114), spaced apart at locations on an outer surface of the hub body (112). In use, a pipeline storage reel (102) is supported by the plurality of discrete and spaced apart roller elements (114).

The present disclosure provides a ferrule support assembly for a stripper-crimper machine and other similar devices. The ferrule support assembly can include an axle configured to be received within a drum of a ferrule reel, a first support plate configured to be coupled to the stripper-crimper machine, and a second support plate opposite the first support plate. The first support plate and the second support plate can include an axle notch configured to engage the axle extending between the first and second support plates.

A method of installing a coil of cable in a bag, that includes the steps of placing a coil of cable on a first hub of a first flange of the cable reel; placing a second flange of the cable reel, that is separable from the first flange, opposite from the first flange to hold the coil of cable on the first hub of the first flange; positioning the first flange on or next to a first support frame received in the bag; and placing the second flange on or next to a second support frame received in the bag. The second support frame is positioned in the bag such that the first flange, the coil of cable and the second flange are located between the first support frame and the second support frame.
