Cable Processing System

A cable processing system includes a cable supply unit supplying a cable. A cable coiling unit of the system coils the supplied cable into a cable coil. The coiled cable is bundled by a cable coil binding unit. A cable coil loading unit loads the bundled cable coil, and a cable coil conveying unit conveys the bundled cable coil to the cable coil loading unit.

Dual Endless Belt Flexible Lance Hose Drive Apparatus and System

An apparatus for driving a flexible lance hose into and out of tubes in a heat exchanger tube sheet includes a housing and an upper endless belt drive assembly and a lower endless belt drive assembly spaced apart by a gap for receiving a flexible lance hose therein. One of the drive assemblies is fixed to the housing. The other drive assembly is movable within the housing toward and away from the one endless belt drive assembly. The apparatus further includes a drive motor fastened to the housing configured to engage at least one of the upper and lower endless belts and drive a flexible lance hose disposed in the gap.

Disclosed is a tensioner for the controlled clamping and forward movement of an elongate element, in particular for winding/unwinding a cable, a hose, a pipeline or an umbilical on a reception member. The tensioner includes at least one frame that carries three guide boxes arranged around a passage axis. This tensioner includes a unit for maneuvering these guide boxes, in particular second maneuvering unit for the maneuvering in rectilinear, or at least substantially rectilinear, translation of lateral guide boxes, respectively in a direction defining an angle of between 115° and 125°, and preferably between 118° and 122°, with respect to the central plane. These second maneuvering unit includes at least one rocker element including a proximal end mounted so as to pivot on the frame and a distal end mounted so as to pivot on the lateral guide box, respectively about rotation axes extending parallel to the passage axis.

A flexible lance drive device has at least one drive motor in a first portion of a housing and a drive axle projecting across a second portion of the housing carrying a cylindrical spline drive roller. A plurality of cylindrical guide rollers on fixed axles span across the second portion of the housing aligned parallel to the spline drive roller. An endless belt wrapped around the at least one spline drive roller and guide rollers has a generally smooth outer surface and a transverse splined inner surface having splines shaped complementary to splines on the spline drive roller. A bias member supports a plurality of follower rollers each aligned vertically above one of the at least one spline drive roller and guide rollers operable to press each follower roller toward one of rollers to frictionally grip a flexible lance hose when sandwiched between the follower rollers and the endless belt.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FIBER REINFORCED RESIN MATERIAL AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING FIBER REINFORCED RESIN MATERIAL

The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a fiber reinforced resin material, the method including an opening step of opening an elongated fiber bundle to be widened in a width direction thereof to be put into a flat state; and a heat setting step of heat-setting the opened fiber bundle in the flat state by heating. In addition, the present invention provides an apparatus for manufacturing a fiber reinforced resin material containing a plurality of fiber bundles and a resin, the apparatus including an opening section that opens an elongated fiber bundle to be widened in a width direction thereof to be put into a flat state; and a heat setting section that heat-sets the opened fiber bundle in the flat state by heating.

Apparatus and method for tensioning and threading optical fiber

An apparatus for tensioning and threading an optical fiber includes a first roller, a second roller, a belt that wraps around the first and second rollers, and a third roller. The belt may be in direct physical contact with the first and second rollers. The third roller may be movable between an engaged and a disengaged configuration relative to the belt. Alternatively, the first roller, second roller, and belt may be movable between the engaged and the disengaged configuration relative to the third roller. Actuation from the disengaged to the engaged configuration captures an optical fiber between the third roller and the belt.

A strip is fastened to an edge of a textile piece by first advancing strip of the ribbon in a direction parallel to the strip of ribbon from a supply. Then a leading end of the strip is gripped a first nip point while advancing additional ribbon from the ribbon supply. The strip is then gripped at a second nip point upstream of the first nip point at a trailing end of the strip. The ribbon is then severed upstream in the strip-travel direction of the second nip point to separate the strip from the ribbon into a sufficient length between the first nip point and the second nip points. The leading or trailing end is then pivoted about at least one pivot axis relative to the other end and positioned near or on the other end, which is then fastened to the edge of the textile piece.
