Method of controlling a compensator of the difference between the drawing-off and winding speeds of yarn when winding yarn on a bobbin at a workstation of a spinning machine and a device for performing the method
10968071 · 2021-04-06 · ·

A method of controlling a yarn compensating arm at a workstation of a spinning machine, wherein the yarn is initially withdrawn from an intermediate vacuum storage device. Before emptying the yarn from the storage device, the compensating arm is deflected past its working and into an out-of-the-working-range position, wherein the yarn is captured by the compensating arm and also deflected to the out-of-the-working-range position to form a non-working yarn reserve. The compensating arm is retained by a force at the out-of-the-working-range position while the yarn is emptied from the storage device. Upon being emptied from the intermediate vacuum storage device, the yarn exerts a tensile force on the compensating arm that overcomes the retaining force causing the compensating arm to return to its working range position.

Device and Method for Sucking in, Temporarily Storing, and Leading Away a Thread, and Textile Machine

A device (1) for drawing in and intermediately storing a thread (2), comprising a suction chamber (3), wherein the suction chamber (3) includes an entry opening (8) and an exit opening (9), which define a direction of flow, wherein negative pressure can be applied to the exit opening (9) in order to generate an air flow (4). Moreover, the device comprises a depositing surface (5) arranged in the suction chamber (3), on which the thread (2) can be intermediately stored, and a flow element (6) arranged in the suction chamber (3), with the aid of which the air flow (4) can be directed through the suction chamber (3). The suction chamber (3) is divided into a first region (14) and a second region (15) with the aid of the depositing surface (5) and the flow element (6) is displaceable between a first position, in which the air flow (4) is guided through the depositing surface (5) and through the second region (15), and a second position, in which the air flow (4) is guided past the depositing surface (5) through the first region (14). A textile machine comprising a plurality of workstations arranged next to one another in the longitudinal direction of the textile machine is characterized in that the workstations each comprise such a device. In a corresponding method for drawing in and intermediately storing a thread (2), the thread (2) is sucked into the suction chamber (3) with the aid of an air flow (4) and is intermediately stored on a depositing surface (5) arranged in the suction chamber (3). The air flow (4) is directed through the suction chamber (3) with the aid of the flow element (6). The suction chamber (3) is subdivided into a first region (14) and a second region (15) with the aid of the depositing surface (5) and the flow element (6) is displaced between the described positions.

Method for operating a textile machine with work stations having their own handling elements for piecing of a thread, and a textile machine with own work stations having their own handling elements

A method is provided for operating a textile machine, with a multiple number of adjacent work stations having a respective spinning unit with a spinning device and/or one winding device and handling elements for piecing a thread or for connecting two thread ends. If production is interrupted, a thread end on the bobbin side is provided to a defined receiving position at the work station. For piecing the thread or for connecting the thread ends, the thread end on the bobbin is cut to length by the work station work elements, received from the receiving position, prepared for piecing or for connecting and pieced up or connected. A thread end wound on the bobbin is sought out by means of a thread seeking device deliverable to multiple work stations of the textile machine, and the thread end is subsequently moved into the receiving position at the work station, from which it is received by the work station work element of the work station, in particular by a handling element of its own work station. A corresponding textile machine is also provided.

WORKSTATION OF A TEXTILE MACHINE AND METHOD FOR MONITORING THE THREAD RUN OF A RUNNING THREAD AT A WORKSTATION OF A TEXTILE MACHINE

A method for monitoring the thread run at a workstation of a textile machine having a thread feeding device for supplying a thread, a traversing device for traversing the supplied thread, a thread winding device for winding the traversed thread onto a run-on bobbin, a pneumatic thread storage, a thread storage unit with a thread guide arm pivotably mounted about a pivot axis, a controllable drive unit for reversible pivoting of the thread guide arm, and a sensor unit collecting sensor information about a thread tension acting on the thread guide arm and/or a position of the thread guide arm, and transmitting the sensor information to a control system associated with the workstation. The thread storage unit is arranged at the workstation such that the control system detects a thread breakage and/or an emptied pneumatic thread storage on the basis of the transmitted sensor information.
