Cable Coiling System
20220009743 · 2022-01-13 · ·

A cable coiling system for coiling a cable into a cable coil includes a reel rotatable around a central axis of the reel, a gripper configured to grip a starting end of the cable, and a slide rail extending in a direction perpendicular to the central axis of the reel. The cable is coilable around the reel to form the cable coil by rotating the reel in a state in which the gripper is coupled onto the reel and grips the starting end of the cable. The reel is slidably mounted on the slide rail. A length of the starting end of the cable coiled around the reel is adjustable by moving the reel along the slide rail and rotating the reel around the central axis in a state in which the gripper is separated from the reel and fixed at a predetermined position.

The retracting device includes a frame, a retraction drive connected to the frame for retracting the hose, a coupling configured to couple the frame to a container, and a displacement drive configured to displace the frame relative to the container such that the retracted hose can be placed in the container. The retracting device further includes a hose guide configured to guide the hose for retraction to the retraction drive, and the hose guide is displaceable in operative connection to the frame.

Cable storage and handling systems and methods

An assembly and method for deploying, retrieving, and storing a cable having a minimum bend radius onto a drum. The assembly may comprise a frame, a rotatable drum carried by the frame, a levelwind carried by the frame, and a powertrain. The levelwind may comprise a rail spanning at least the width of the drum, and a traversable carriage carried by the rail. The levelwind may also comprise a cable guide carried by the carriage, where the cable guide comprises an elongated chute having contoured walls. The contoured walls of the chute include no bends having a radius less than the minimum bend radius of the cable. The powertrain may be operatively connected to rotate the drum about the drum axis and traverse the carriage along the rail. In some examples, the contoured walls of the chute are coated with a supplmentary coating.

There is provided a wound thread package that is unlikely to cause problems such as cob-webbing and collapse at the time of unwinding even when the wound thread is a multi-filament thread or tape-like thread, and a manufacturing method for the same.

To manufacture a wound thread package 1 by winding a plurality of multi-filament threads or tape-like threads having a total fineness of 100 to 6400 dtex per thread around a bobbin 2 by a traverse method, the threads constituting a thread layer 3 are arranged at intervals therebetween and wound with the same in traverse width w and at different traverse reverse positions.

Winding apparatus and coil component manufacturing method

A winding apparatus for a coil component in which wires are wound around a core. The winding apparatus includes a wire position support including wire route holes in which the wires are inserted, a wire feeder that feeds the wires to the wire position support such that tension is applied to the wires, a winding driver that orbitally revolves the wire position support around the core such that the wires are wound around the core while twisted, a rotator that rotates the core, and a controller that controls the winding driver and the rotator. The controller controls a rotation direction of the core with regard to an orbital revolution direction of the wire position support and an orbital revolution speed of the wire position support to prevent generation of a kink of a wire between a wire feeder and the wire position support.
