When the carriage contacts a yarn carrier, a contact sensor feeds a signal back to the carriage, a signal emitter emits an instruction, and when a signal receiver receives the instruction, the fixing frame is controlled to ascend along the sliding rails. When the carriage drives the yarn carrier to enter a knitting area, needles are elected by a needle selection electromagnetic valve, knitting motion information is fed back to the carriage, the signal emitter emits an instruction, and when the signal receiver receives the instruction, the fixing frame is controlled to descend.

A method of controlling a yarn compensating arm at a workstation of a spinning machine, wherein the yarn is initially withdrawn from an intermediate vacuum storage device. Before emptying the yarn from the storage device, the compensating arm is deflected past its working and into an out-of-the-working-range position, wherein the yarn is captured by the compensating arm and also deflected to the out-of-the-working-range position to form a non-working yarn reserve. The compensating arm is retained by a force at the out-of-the-working-range position while the yarn is emptied from the storage device. Upon being emptied from the intermediate vacuum storage device, the yarn exerts a tensile force on the compensating arm that overcomes the retaining force causing the compensating arm to return to its working range position.

An electromagnetic device for eliminating a yarn loop during winding of a yarn on a cross-wound bobbin on a spinning machine at a constant speed of the yarn production includes a cylindrical two pole magnet rotatably mounted about a longitudinal axis thereof. A compensatory arm is connected to the two pole magnet. A magnetic core includes two poles situated opposite of each other, with the cylindrical two pole magnet rotatable between the poles. A side of the magnetic core opposite from the two poles passes through a cavity of an electrical coil, wherein the magnetic core is interrupted in the cavity. A two pole permanent magnet is located at the point of the interruption of the magnetic core in the cavity of the electrical coil.
