A method and associated textile machine are provided to produce a roving having a protective twist from a fiber bundle fed to a consolidating means. The produced roving is wound with a winding device onto a tube arranged at a winding position. After the wound tube has been fully or partially wound with the roving, a tube change is initiated. During the tube change, the wound tube is removed from the winding position and an empty tube is moved into the winding position. During the tube change, the roving is wound onto the wound tube at least until the roving comes into contact with the empty tube as a result of the tube change such that the production of the roving is not interrupted during the tube change. During the tube change, the roving is wound onto the wound tube in a region that lies outside a region last wound prior to the tube change.

During normal operation of a textile machine, a fiber bundle is supplied to a consolidating means to produce a roving having a protective twist, the roving wound onto a tube with a winding device. The roving downstream of the consolidating means is monitored for whether the roving is being produced by the consolidating means or whether the roving produced by the consolidating means is being wound onto the tube. In no roving is being produced or the roving produced by the consolidating means is not being wound onto the tube, an interruption of the normal operation of the textile machine is initiated and the tube partly loaded with roving by the winding device prior to the interruption is replaced with an empty tube during a tube changing process. The consolidating means is started up and the roving produced thereby is brought into contact with the empty tube. Normal operation is resumed and the roving is wound onto the empty tube.

Textile machine for producing roving and method for starting the roving production on a corresponding textile machine

A textile machine and associate method are provided for producing a roving, wherein a consolidating means produces a roving having a protective twist from a fiber bundle. A winding device is arranged downstream of the consolidating means in a transport direction of the roving and winds the roving onto a tube driven by a tube drive. An arrangement is disposed to bring the roving leaving the consolidating means during a roving production start procedure into contact with the tube. The arrangement includes a movably mounted suction unit with a suction opening that is configured to suck up the roving during ongoing roving production. Means are provided to bring the roving running between the consolidating means and the suction opening into contact with the tube during ongoing roving production. Means are further provided to cut the roving such that a section of the roving grasped by the suction unit is conveyed away by the suction unit and a section of the roving running between the consolidating means and the tube is wound onto the tube.

Automatic filament exchanging method of 3D printers

An automated filament exchange method includes: locating the spool for winding the first filament for the 3D printer; winding the first filament on the subspace of the spool located at the spool location step; allowing the first filament wound at the subspace first filament winding step to pass through a gap formed on the main space flange located between the main space and the subspace; and winding the first filament located at the main space of the spool on the main space of the spool, wherein after the first filament is wound on the subspace of the spool, the first filament passes through the gap and is then wound multi-layeredly on the main space of the spool.

The invention relates to a textile machine for producing roving (1), comprising at least one consolidating means, by which a roving (1) having a protective twist can be produced from a fiber bundle (3) that is fed to the consolidating means, and comprising a winding device (5), arranged downstream of the consolidating means in a transport direction (T) of the roving (1), for winding the roving (1) produced by the consolidating means onto a tube (7) which can be driven by a tube drive (6). The textile machine is characterized in that it has an arrangement by which the roving (1) leaving the consolidating means during a start of roving production can be brought into contact with the tube (7), wherein said arrangement comprises a movably mounted suction unit (8) with a suction opening (9), by means of which the roving (1) can be sucked up during ongoing roving production, wherein said arrangement comprises means by which the roving (1) running between the consolidating means and the suction opening (9) can be brought into contact with the tube (7) during ongoing roving production, and in that said arrangement comprises means by which the roving (1), during ongoing roving production, can be cut such that the section (19) of the roving (1) that is grasped by the suction unit (8) can be conveyed away by the suction unit (8) and the section of the roving (1) running between the consolidating means and the tube (7) can be wound onto the tube (7). A method for starting roving production on such a textile machine is also proposed.

The invention relates to a method for operating a textile machine that serves for producing roving (2), wherein during normal operation, a fiber bundle (4) is supplied to at least one consolidating means of the textile machine, wherein a roving (2) having a protective twist is produced from the fiber bundle (4) by means of the consolidating means, wherein, after leaving the consolidating means and by means of a winding device (5) arranged downstream of the consolidating means in a transport direction (T) of the roving (2), the roving (2) is wound onto a tube (6), and wherein a sensor system (9) monitors whether a roving (2) is being produced by the consolidating means and/or whether the roving (2) produced by the consolidating means is being wound onto the tube (6). In accordance with the invention it is suggested that in the event that it is detected by means of the sensor system (9) that no roving (2) is being produced by the consolidating means or that the roving (2) produced by the consolidating means is not being wound onto the tube (6), an interruption of the of the normal operation takes place, that the tube (6) already partly loaded with roving (2) by the winding device (5) prior to the interruption in normal operation is replaced by an empty tube (6) during a tube changing process, that a start process is carried out in which roving (2) produced by the consolidating means after start-up of the consolidating means is brought into contact with the empty tube (6), and that the roving (2) produced by the consolidating means after the start process is wound onto the tube (6) and normal operation is resumed. In addition, a textile machine for producing roving (2) is suggested.
