Elevator system accommodating elevator cars having different sizes
The invention refers to an elevator system having a plurality of elevator cars, which elevator cars comprise several first cars and at least one second car, which second car differs from the first cars in its size and/or technical configuration, whereby the first cars and the second car run together within one and the same elevator shaft, which elevator system comprises an elevator control comprising a call allocation control having a first part connected to at least one call input device for allocating the first elevator cars and a second part connected to at least one call issuing means for the call allocation of the second car, whereby the first and second part of the call allocation control are configured to work independently of each other.
METHOD FOR OPERATING AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a method for operating an elevator system, which is embodied as shaft-changing multi-car system. A number of cars is assigned to at least three elevator shafts. The cars can be moved in upwards direction and downwards direction inside the individual elevator shafts, as well as between the individual elevator shafts. A successive reversal of the travel directions of the respective cars occurs hereby.
Multimodal User Interface for Destination Call Request of Elevator Systems Using Route and Car Selection Methods
An elevator control system for an elevator system, including a display device, at least one processor in communication with the display device and the elevator system, the at least one processor programmed or configured to render, on the display device, a graphical destination interface comprising a plurality of visual representations of destinations within the building, receive a user selection of a selected destination from the plurality of destinations, determine a plurality of selectable options for elevator call requests based on the selected destination, render the plurality of selectable options for elevator call requests on the graphical destination interface or a second graphical call request interface, receive a user selection of a selected option from the plurality of selectable options for elevator call requests, and control movement of an elevator car in the elevator system based on the selected destination and the selected option.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A TRANSPORT SYSTEM AND CORRESPONDING TRANSPORT SYSTEM
A transport system may include at least two conveyor sections and at least three cars that are moved individually in a cyclical operation. Each car may pass through a first conveyor section starting from a first start position and subsequently pass through a second conveyor section back to the first start position. At least one stopping point may be provided at least along a conveyor section, and one or more subsequent stopping points may respectively be assigned to a block. Travel of the cars may be controlled such that the cars successively approach a respective previously-specified block, and an equal cycle time is predefined for every car to pass through the first and second conveyor sections. A method for operating a transport system in this manner is also disclosed.
Managing the number of active elevator cars in a multi-car elevator shaft system
According to an aspect, there is provided a method for determining the number of elevator cars in a two-shaft multi-car elevator system. The method comprises determining the number of active elevator cars N in the two-shaft multi-car elevator system by
wherein RTT is a round trip time of the two-shaft multi-car elevator system, arr is the arrival rate of passengers, a is a car load factor, and carsize is the number of passengers one elevator car is able to carry.
Adjustable multicar elevator system
A multicar elevator system includes a group of individually drivable elevator cars and two shafts coupled to each other with at least two transfer channels. The system further includes a control unit configured to operate the system in either of two operating modes, wherein in the first mode the group of elevator cars is arranged to travel to a first vertical direction in the first shaft and to another vertical direction in the second shaft through the transfer channels. In the second mode, a first sub-group of elevator cars are parked in one of the shafts and at least one elevator car belonging to a second sub-group of elevator cars is arranged to travel in the both vertical directions in the other shaft upon a call.
Method for operating a lift system, and lift system
A method for operating an elevator system having a shaft system and elevator cars that are moved separately between floors in a circulation operation may involve moving the elevator cars upward in a first shaft and moving the elevator cars downward in a second shaft. A number of shaft positions that can be respectively adopted by the elevator cars and that correspond to the number of elevator cars is defined, and synchronization of movement of the elevator cars may be carried out with respect to these defined shaft positions. Further, each of the elevator cars may be moved according to a travel curve. To synchronize the movement of the elevator cars the travel curve for each elevator car may be adapted to account for positions of the elevator cars in the same shaft.
MULTICAR ELEVATOR SYSTEM AND A METHOD THERETO
A multicar elevator system includes a plurality of elevator sub-systems, each elevator sub-system including a shaft forming a loop path including a first vertical section and a second vertical section connected to each other with at least two horizontal sections. The first vertical section in each elevator sub-system is travelable upwards by at least one elevator car and the second vertical section is travelable downwards by at least one elevator car. The elevator system further include a reservation shaft accessible for at least one elevator car from each elevator subsystem. A method for controlling the multicar elevator system is disclosed.
CONTROL OF AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM
The invention relates to an elevator system comprising: a plurality of elevator sub-systems and a group controller configured to control the plurality of the elevator sub-systems, wherein the group controller is configured to: determine an efficiency of the elevator system; and control, in accordance with the efficiency of the elevator system, at least one elevator sub-system to serve elevator calls at different zones from at least one other elevator sub-system. The invention also relates to a method, a group controller and a computer program product.
ELEVATOR SYSTEM
An elevator system includes: an elevator control; a plurality of individually movable elevator cars driving in an elevator runway system including at least one elevator runway, preferably at least two elevator runways, whereby the number of elevator cars is higher than the number of elevator runways in the runway system. The elevator cars are movable in the elevator runway system via at least one drive system. Each of the elevator cars is provided with an identifier. The elevator system includes at least one reader device for the identifier and a car handling module in the elevator control processing the information on the elevator cars and their identifiers in connection with their position in the elevator system. The elevator system includes elevator cars differing in at least one parameter (differing parameter). The memory of the elevator control includes car parameters of the cars in operation in the elevator system and the elevator control is configured to use the car parameters in the control of the elevator system. The identifier includes information at least about the differing parameter, and the car handling module is configured to put out of use the car parameters of an elevator car that is to be put out of operation and/or to introduce the car parameters of an elevator car which is to be put into operation.
